If I had asked myself, three years ago, that I would not only have a partner (because frankly, I never had much luck with men...) in the middle of a pandemic, with the world "closed" and terror at its peak, I would never have believed it. In fact, this post only makes sense because it recalls (as it says in the title) the celebration of an anniversary; with a man who is far from perfect, but who I do feel loves me and above all, gives me joy and spontaneity....

So begins my brief account of how last Saturday, August 26th, I had one of the most pleasant experiences I have had in a long time.... Although, for those of you reading this, what I am describing may seem "normal", "routine" or "usual"; well, for me it is not so much. You see, I'm a full time mom, of a little girl. And when I'm not doing mommy stuff, I'm at work. Between both activities, my life goes by; literally every hour of the day....

My boyfriend had a double surprise in store for me. Where he made me dress up for the occasion. First, we went to a bar that serves everything. From 50 cm pizza slices (yes, I'm not exaggerating or lying) to salads for people who count calories.... The place was wonderful. Three stories, with nice music and first class service and attention. There, we decided to have a few cups of coffee. We both loved the combination of a good latte with a delicious cake. We ordered, had some really funny chats (which you can see in the pictures) and just like that, out of nowhere, more than two hours went by....

We ordered some water, as eating so many sweets makes you feel the need to drink something to neutralize the taste in your mouth. Then, we headed to another bar; one where there was live music and which we also found beautiful. That's how we ended up on the terrace of the place (it's a three-story building plus the outdoor terrace) and that's where we decided to order something hungry.... He and I are very simple and practical people when it comes to eating, but that was a special day, haha. So, we decided on some BBQ pork ribs, some salad and a mini burger. All delicious.

Like magic, my boyfriend had told me he had a surprise for me.... While, at first, I thought that going out, having a few drinks and eating was the whole surprise, I had been far from guessing.... So it was that out of the silence, and the darkness surrounding the lighting of the place, a band emerged in the middle of a stage, which frankly, I had not been able to see well... It was a cover band! Bands like Queen, Coldplay and Avicii, were part of the repertoire.... Believe me, I was very happy... I'm a girl not at all used to these things.

As I could, I took pictures to try to immortalize the moment, and they are the ones you see in this posts. I know they're not the quality they should be, but it's what I could do with what I had in hand. Likewise, I'm kind of old school. I believe that the essence of life lies in memories. In putting away the cell phone a bit and looking more into the eyes to enjoy and feel the moments more. Much of this is what happened. A day, seemingly ordinary, not so crazy but for me it was fantastic, fun, substantial and above all worthy of celebration with the person I consider my friend, partner, lover and confidant.

I ate spectacularly well, danced like I hadn't done in years, went through every flavor imaginable on my palate. From the sweet texture of a cake (chocolate and oreo filling) to the smooth bitterness of light beer and cosmopolitan drinks. Sometimes, life calls for these episodes. Filled with love, intention, excellent execution and music.... A bar is only as good as those sensations it makes you feel And I went to two in one night! I say goodbye (for now) but I know I'll be back sooner rather than later. Thanks for reading these lines, and don't forget the pleasure of living.
