Turned pink | Digital Watercolor Portrait

Hello bloggers, I hope you are well today I bring you a different post because I needed to vary the routine a little, because I do not like to feel that I do the same thing every day, while it is true that I love drawing children's illustrations, I think we all need these escapades and do something different, today I show you a digital watercolor that I did with some brushes that I created myself XD, I show you a little process and step by step as always.

Hola blogueros, espero estén bien el día de hoy les traigo un post distinto ya necesitaba variar la rutina un poco, ya que no me gusta sentir que hago lo mismo todos los días, si bien es cierto que me encanta dibujar ilustraciones infantiles, creo que todos necesitamos de estas escapadas y hacer algo distinto, hoy les muestro un acuarela digital que hice con unos pinceles que cree yo mismo XD, te muestro un poco el proceso y el paso a paso como siempre.

This time I wanted to do the sketch in a different way, usually when I make a face in this semi-realistic style I always use a grid but this time I wanted to do it with a few guide lines so I feel that I check better what is my pulse and my current progress, and I really liked it so far, the theme I chose was to make a face in cold tones that are the colors with which I get along best and that the drawing transmitted a lot of peace.

Esta vez he querido hacer el boceto de manera distinta, por lo general cuando hago un rostro en este estilo semi-realista siempre utilizo cuadricula pero esta vez he querido hacerlo con unas pocas líneas de guía así siento que reviso mejor cual es mi pulso y mi progreso actual, y la verdad me ha gustado mucho hasta ahora, la temática que elegí fue hacer un rostro en tonos fríos que son los colores con los que mejor me llevo y que el dibujo transmitiese mucha paz.

In the program I use (Procreate) there are many possibilities to create brushes, so I started to create some watercolor brushes because at first my idea was to paint this portrait in a traditional way in watercolor but that represents a tremendous mess in my studio Xd so I thought why not make digital watercolor brushes and so I did two things at once.

En el programa que uso (Procreate) hay muchas posibilidades para crear pinceles, así que me puse a crear unos pinceles de acuarela esto porque al principio mi idea era pintar este retrato de manera tradicional en acuarela pero eso representa un desorden en mi estudio tremendo Xd así que se me ocurrió que porque no hacer pinceles de acuarela digital y así hacia dos cosas a la vez.

First I was testing the brushes to see how to handle them and how they behaved on the canvas, the truth is one of the ones I liked the most was one that is created of watercolor with hard edges, is a watercolor technique in which the brush leaves more pigment on the edges than in the center, due to the movement that you give me to the hand while tracing, and then I would like to teach in a post what it is about.

Primero fui probando los pinceles para ver como manejarlos y como se comportaban en el lienzo la verdad uno de los que mas me gusto fue uno que es creado de acuarela con bordes duros, es una técnica de acuarela en la que en pincel deja mas pigmento en los bordes que en el centro, debido al movimiento que me das a la mano mientras trazas, ya luego me gustaria ensenar en un post de que se trata.

The truth of this portrait I don't have much to say about the color because it was all an experiment and trying different textures trying to make it look as similar as possible to a traditional watercolor, of course in my opinion there will never be that feeling that traditional watercolor gives us to see those real spots and feel the different textures of each one of them. La verdad de este retrato no tengo mucho que decir en cuanto al color porque todo fue un experimento y probando diferentes texturas buscando que se pareciese lo mas posible a una acuarela tradicional, claro que en mi opinión nunca va a existir ese sentimiento como en que nos da la acuarela tradicional de ver esas manchas reales y sentir las diferentes texturas de cada una de ellas. cuéntame que te ha parecido este resultado y si te gustaría emplear esta técnica de manera tradicional.
