A suspicious bag

It was a totally normal Monday… until this showed up on the big table under the prayer flags. A colourful gift bag, beautifully wrapped, with a little tag that says it's made of 100% recycled material. Very eco. Very Ca' Paradiso.

Nobody in this house ordered anything. Officially.

The witnesses

Of course, at Ca' Paradiso nothing happens without an audience.

The hens issued an official statement: "We are NOT curious." Then they spent the whole morning scratching around the vegetable patch, conveniently close to the action. Very curious.

And they have reasons to feel important: they just moved into their brand-new mobile run, with a whole Chicken-Tractor villa inside! Roof, ladder, private bedroom, fresh grass every time Dad moves it. Meanwhile, I sleep on a rug. Just saying.

Then there was the neighbours' black kitten, hiding inside the old sink. He/she didn't say a word, but those eyes were clearly asking: "Is it tuna? Please tell me it's tuna."

The unboxing

Inside the bag: a pink box with four fluffy cartoon guys on it… with faces. And a message I fully agree with: "More love for your dog." Finally, someone who gets it.

Dad opened it and… FOUR spiky balls! 🟠 Orange, 🟢 green, 🔵 blue, 🔴 red.

Now, I am a detective dog, so I have to point out something. This gift arrives exactly when a new Lagotto puppy is about to join her family. Coincidence? I don't think so. Is this a bribe? 🤔

My answer: bribe accepted. The puppy can come. We'll talk about the sofa later.

The big question

Everybody at Ca' Paradiso knows my all-time favourite colour. It's in my profile, it's in my separator, it's basically my personality: ORANGE.

So the prediction was easy… right?

Sì, sfondo del telefono. Lunedì, 12:21, nuvoloso, 21°C: papà prende il telefono e chi vede per primo? Me. Non il meteo, non l'ora. Me. Volevo solo chiarirlo prima di cominciare.

Un sacchetto sospetto

Era un lunedì normalissimo… finché sul tavolone sotto le bandierine tibetane non è comparso questo: un sacchetto regalo coloratissimo, impacchettato con cura, con un cartellino che dice che è fatto al 100% di materiale riciclato. Molto eco. Molto Ca' Paradiso.

In questa casa nessuno aveva ordinato niente. Ufficialmente.

I testimoni

A Ca' Paradiso niente succede senza pubblico.

Le galline hanno rilasciato un comunicato ufficiale: "NON siamo curiose." Poi hanno passato tutta la mattina a razzolare nell'orto, guarda caso vicinissime all'azione. Curiosissime.

E hanno motivo di sentirsi importanti: si sono appena trasferite nel loro nuovo recinto mobile, con dentro una villetta Chicken-Tractor! Tetto, scaletta, camera privata ed erba fresca ogni volta che papà lo sposta. Io intanto dormo su un tappeto. Lo dico e basta.

Poi c'era il gattino nero dei vicini, nascosto dentro il vecchio lavandino. Non ha detto una parola, ma quegli occhi chiedevano chiaramente: "È tonno? Ti prego, dimmi che è tonno."

L'unboxing

Dentro il sacchetto: una scatola rosa con sopra quattro pelosetti disegnati… con le facce. E una frase su cui sono totalmente d'accordo: "More love for your dog", più amore per il tuo cane. Finalmente qualcuno che capisce.

Papà l'ha aperta e… QUATTRO palline con gli spuntoni! 🟠 Arancione, 🟢 verde, 🔵 blu, 🔴 rossa.

Chi l'ha mandato?

Il regalo arriva da mamma @crmilazz! 💛 Grazie, grazie, grazie!

Però io sono un cane detective, e devo far notare una cosa. Questo regalo arriva proprio mentre nella sua famiglia sta per arrivare un nuovo cucciolo di Lagotto. Coincidenza? Non credo. È una corruzione? 🤔

La mia risposta: corruzione accettata. Il cucciolo può venire. Del divano ne parliamo dopo.

La grande domanda

A Ca' Paradiso tutti conoscono il mio colore preferito di sempre. È nel mio profilo, è nel mio separatore, è praticamente la mia personalità: ARANCIONE.

Quindi la previsione era facile… giusto?
