MODERNIZATION ERA:-- PHONES TOOK OVER TVs
If you ask me why I hardly watch movies on television anymore, I would say the constant modernization of gadget has evolve which now makes it easier for us to access a smaller screen device called phone where you can watch same exact movies or activities done in the television. A device that's easy to carry around by we humans will be paid more attention to if not even more valuable.
Come to think of it, its been a while I sat down to watch TV, I know there's alot of people that don't have TVs time but you just can't say such to laptops and phones.
So now you see where the concentration is been fixed to. (Phones and laptops) which I have both and it have completely taken over any attention I might have for TVs. Where I stayed have two TVs but its usually switched off only when they have family gatherings or get together of sort then maybe it can be turned ON. There comes some advantage that mobile devices and laptop got that TVs don't.
Mobility and Portability.
We all know its not in a human senses and nature to carry about television from place to place even if I eventually got the strength it will still be abnormal and funny. Its in this aspect that phones and personal computer plays vital role because it's easy to carry along and access anytime anywhere provided it's fully charged.
Not like TVs that must be powdered by constant electricity power to function. I will prefer phone over TVs if I'm to choose between both because it is designer to perform all activities of a TV and even more features. Where I go my phones and laptop goes also.
Screen privacy.
For the those who don't joke with their privacy by having the screen all to themselves is very okay for them. They pay more attention and show more concentration if it's just them on the screen and no body else. The operations is by their own taste and satisfaction, which if altered might cause altercation to who so ever. I will do same too, there's this joy you get from having your privacy or policy so I will prefer but not that I'm totally against sharing my space and screen.
Compatibility
A television have to be connected to a disc reader or disc satellite to display all recorded or aired program on the satellite. But a phone and laptops can access both without any disc reader because its all uploaded on the internet (Netflix, YouTube, SOCIAL media etc).
Functionality
Television has only one function, to display live and recorded activities even though we now have smart TVs that now make the work easy In operation. Phones and laptop can multi task, watching movie while running a program or even editing a graphics design all at a time. The operations and functions of phones and laptop is way sophisticated than television.
To me television is like an older version of laptop. That era has changed .
Finally, television are not completely useless, it is necessary during families gathering for sharing love amongst ourselves apart from that, all concentration has been switched to smaller devices.
