I can remember during my high school when we had one subject that everybody was afraid of, which is Mathematics. It was such a terrible and horrific subject.
This day, the teacher announced a test and as usual, being afraid, I was not fully prepared. I just read only the night before the test and it was kind of a haphazard reading. This kind of reading that makes you feel somehow deluded and not confident at all.
The teacher was able to share the question paper. We looked at the clock and all of a sudden I felt as if even the letter I had read
would not be the same. Something was in my head. I answered the few questions that I was able to crack my brain to answer and I started praying for the rest. Then all of a sudden something happened, the bell rang. But our teacher didn't say we should stop the tests or we should submit.
The teacher heard some phone call
and decided to step outside to pick the call.
So we were surprised. We all looked at ourselves and nobody said anything, but we understood. This was just an illegal extension of our time. It does not happen always.
Friends started, answers started going around. Students started exchanging papers.
And that was how I was able to complete the rest of my questions. Will I say it's an illegal or it was just a teamwork? All we heard was, that was five extra minutes. We had to put in some things and we passed the test that day. But when I was going home, some things took me.
Sometimes we might have a chance to take some illegal extension that might save the day. And I really need to take that chance, to take that extra short course. Or should we just remain sincere to ourselves? I know I did not end that extra time. But what would I do?
I wanted to pass. That was the only thing in my mind. And that was how I was able to make it through the time.
