This morning when I opened my eyes to a new day I felt grateful and knew it was a privilege to have the opportunity to live and experience one more day. I breathed in deeply, thought about the possibilities and my commitments, and about being happy. It was a nice way to wake up.
Saying, "it's going to be a good day," is good in theory however we never really know if it will or will not be a good day. I like to start it by saying so though and feel the right attitude helps me look back on each day and feel I made it the best I could have. As I'm stretching for fifteen minutes I visualize how I want my day to be and more importantly, who I want to be, how I want to act, treat others, and what attitudes I want to carry into it and I think about these things throughout the rest of my day.
I don't know what makes a good day for others, to me it's a day in which I feel I've been a good person, to myself and to others, and a day in which I have remembered my morning visualization ritual and have taken steps to apply those things to it.
