Good evening, friends. I hope you are all having a good time these days. Today I want to tell you about my grandson, who has bronchitis. Two weeks ago, my daughter took him to the doctor because he had a bad cough and fever. The paediatrician who saw him said it was a viral infection and prescribed medicine for the fever and a syrup, but my grandson had a fever all weekend, so my daughter took him to another paediatrician on Monday because his paediatrician only sees patients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and works at the hospital the other days, so it wasn't possible for him to examine him. This time, he was seen by a paediatrician who sent him for an X-ray because she suspected it might be pneumonia, but it turned out to be bronchitis. If the previous doctor had examined him more thoroughly, it would not have progressed so far.
This paediatrician prescribed antibiotics for five days, prednisone for seven days and ibuprofen for the fever. He was very listless, didn't want to eat and just wanted to sleep. The good thing was that he was drinking plenty of water, and the treatment worked quickly. His fever subsided on the second day of treatment. My daughter took him back to the paediatrician because we were worried about seeing him so lethargic, and the paediatrician said he had a lot of phlegm and referred him to a physiotherapist.
My daughter asked around and was recommended one who makes house calls. His sessions last approximately 20 minutes.
I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the results of the first session. He became more energetic and started eating and playing.
By the second session, he had almost recovered, and by the third, he was completely active.
The first thing he does is ask if he is taking any medication, how long he has been prescribed it for, and if there are other sick people in the house. Then he listens to his lungs with a stethoscope and lays him down.
He then continues with a lung massage and makes him cough. As he coughs, the phlegm comes up and is expelled through his stools because he is a child.
He thought it would take five treatments, but after the third one, the phlegm cleared up completely, so he discharged him with the recommendation to keep him away from people with colds, sudden changes in temperature, not to leave his clothes on if he is sweaty, to consume plenty of vitamin C and, above all, to be attentive to any changes in his health.
I had never heard of these therapies before, but they are really effective and have a wonderful effect on children. I recommend them, and they really are effective, at least they were for my grandson.
We must be attentive to the health of our loved ones, and if we see that they are not improving with treatment, we should take them to see another doctor, because a misdiagnosis worsens the situation and recovery takes longer.
That's all for my post today. Thank you for visiting and for your support.
