Tell me what you think about
When you open your eyes in the morning
The one thought that follows your subconscious
And stays uninvited
There might be birds
Their chripings will either annoy or soothe
But that's only if there're trees
If you're perceptive as well
There might be hot air
And the noise of children running to school
You remember your dislike for heat
The sun shining directly on your window
It's afternoon and you're sitting alone
The silence is eerie
You can hear a dog bark in a distance
Not that you mind
You love the serenity
It gives you peace
Tell me what you think about
When you stand alone in the evening
You look down the street below
Sometimes you sit but it's the same
The sun is setting
It's noisy again
In a different way
There's no urgency this time
The roads are matted with dust
Young humans, like yourself
Are also sitting and watching
But with a smile on their faces
