Hello beautiful people of the Hive Learners family, I'm saddled with privilege of participating in this awesome program which was brought about by the #newbieintitiative, and I count it a big privilege and opportunity to build up my self in the hive community via this program, all thanks to the organisers of this program 
Alright guys馃懌, let's talk about WHAT SETTING GOALS mean;
With reference to the above subheading, it would be more of a fruitless adventure if one have no set goals while embarking on a journey such as this or it would be of no benefit if a hunter has no aim or target, in relation to what I just mentioned, setting goals is actually placing out achievement that one would love to ascertain at the end of a certain period, so if I would want to make progress in a community such as this I must set goals and not just goals but smart once because their are goals that are not smart enough to generate beautiful results within a certain period, so we also understand that setting goals also involves strategizing for time management.
Why we need to set smart goals
In my own opinion, smart goals are quite different from normal goals, smart goals are steps ahead of normals goals so as to avoid any interruption of our imperfections as humans, sometimes we might be caught up in the imperfections of our humanity so in order to avoid the total outcome of such imperfections or incidents not planed for (such as illness, not having enough time etc..), setting smart goals are advised in order to get results that fall within the ambience of the desired result.
Setting up smart goals as regarding;
Improving My Hive Power馃挭馃挭馃憟
At the cause of the smile discord meeting I came to understand that there things to do in order that our hive power be improved such as; posting regularly in commutes , been frequently active in those community, participating in their contest etc...
By the end of this program that us in two months time I would love to improve my Hive power to a minimum of 500.00, so every activities I would be engaging in would be aimed at hitting around that point or even more.
My Followers 馃懌馃拸
As regarding followers, one thing I sure know would always boast your followers is quality content, something that would always make them want to back and of cause its only but a quality, educative and entertaining content that would make them want to come back, so my goal in this expect should be channeled in making quality, educative and entertaining content.
One other thing I know concerning improving the rate of followers is; following others, regularly revisiting their blogs and making good and encouraging comments on their post, so my goal would be to follow others, regularly revisit their blogs and make encouraging comments on their post.
My Engagement &Consistency
As regarding my engagement, my goal is to ensure I participate in at least 7-8 communities per week thereby improving and developing myself in different skills and expect of life, and concerning my consistency, I would ensure to be a regular member of those community making sure I participate in their every week contest.
WHAT MAKES THEM SMART GOALS鈽濃槤馃馃槑
The first goal I mentioned that I would love to achieve in the hive community is that at the end of this program I would hit up to a minimum of 500 Hive power, its actually a smart goal reason been; it would propel me to work harder thereby increasing and expanding my work capacity, so its actually beyond just setting a point to hit but a point that would boast your working capacity and propel you to think of new and better strategies towards my operation on the hive community.
The second goal I mentioned is that I would ensure to make quality, educative and entertaining content and to follow others with good and encouraging comments on their post, the idea is not just to follow and be followed but to create a long lasting relationship with others in the communities.
The third and fourth goals I mentioned is that I ensure I participate in several community and be consistent in their weekly contest, the idea is to earn a reputation of being steadfast and frequent in my participation.
My strategies to achieve the above mentioned goals
Improving my Hive Power
In order to achieve the above mentioned goals as regarding my hive power; I would ensure to make entries or post regularly in active community.
Improving the rate of my Followers
Mt strategy regarding improving the rate of my Followers is first of all to constantly publish posts because whenever someone follows you and enters your blog, it would be discouraging to comment on post that were published of about 5-7 days ago, but if I post frequently the follower will be assured of getting such quality post regularly.
Another strategy is to always follow, comment and upvote members of a certain community immediately after posting in that community.
My Engagement and Consistency
For someone like me who participate in other music community, my strategy for Engagement and Consistency is to produce all my music videos at the weekend and then all I have to do is to wait for the proper time for publishing so as to avoid bulky work at the cause of the week.
The idea is that; I don't have to wait for the time to publish and then begin to create the post at that, if it is community that uses prompt, the moment I see the prompt of the week I would create my post at that time and save it till the time to publish.
