.
I streamline my skin
With the colour of my lover's eyes
Opening my mouth to childhood songs
And my heart- to the memories of its days
There's something magical
About the places we find ourselves
When time sit at the edge of our fate(s)
It's like Christ, turning the water in the eyes
Of a girl- mocked by her reflection, to wine
.
This place is surrounded with unseen walls
But safe enough to be a refuge
.
One step at a time;
.
A boy stumbles on a dark image of himself
For outrunning the words of his father
And for holding his mother's portrait
Too close to the hell on life's tongue
I do not know how to tell him
About another boy who once trod same path
And couldn't survive the fire- fuelled by his choices
For, you don't stretch beyond words
Meant to cover your nakedness
.
They said God is everywhere- even in us
Yet, everyday is a marathon chase for him
.
One step at a time;
.
A man searches for himself in mirrors
Turning his face to pictures of dead places
He plaits his room with blues
Floating on the water of its lyrics
He's one of those men
Love has taught to imprison themselves
And to open their souls to lonely islands
.
Maybe someday, he would realize God is love
And sometimes doesn't come from god(s)
