"Consciousness can only exist in one way and it is being aware that it exists."
~ Jean Paul Satre
Consciousness is to have the knowledge of your own existence, the state in which you are, how you feel and what you do, it is the full knowledge that you have about yourself, the world and the circumstances.
There are 3 basic levels of consciousness: asleep, conscious and awake.
The asleep level refers to the person who is mostly unconscious, lives most of the time disconnected from himself. His level of awareness allows him to perceive himself in a totally separate world from everything and everyone. He’s regularly in constant resistance thinking negatively and feeling pain in his life with fear, hatred, guilt, anger, sadness, depression, he becomes discouraged and easily disillusioned by life circumstances.
The conscious level refers to the person who is more self-conscious and therefore more observant with himself and his surroundings. His level of consciousness allows him to feel more in union with others and understands that doing good to others is good for him. He recognizes and identifies his negative emotions more easily and therefore begins to work on them to let them go when they present themselves thus seeking more happiness in his life. He’s more optimistic, explores and looks for new opportunities to face and experiences life with more enjoyment.
The awake refers to the person who possesses a great self-consciousness and energetic connection with himself. He’s perceived unity with others and with everything that surrounds him. He trusts in the universe and in life, flowing and accepting what is in each situation or experience.
The constant growth in his levels of consciousness allows him to experience greater tranquility or inner peace that leads him to be in a state of greater happiness and gratitude in life.
The more asleep or unconscious a person is, the greater the effort and pain in his life. His results will be what he wants because he has less self-awareness of his own obstacles and personal limitations.
The greater the awareness in the person, the less effort in life to achieve his goals and the easier it will be to make his changes. It’s the beginning of self-consciousness’ development that allows life to flow easier allowing space for more peace, love, and happiness.
