The Dilemma
Omg! I didn't bring an umbrella! Oh Lord, I'd be stuck in traffic! Oh noo, flood everywhere! Should i just be absent and forget just now that i am poor, have responsibilities and billls to pay. I should just stay home.
These were just the lines i have in mind if it rained when i was still working somewhere away but not very away from home last year. The dilemma i often face during rainy days were a struggle. I always worry every time it rains. There are times i walk home about an hour from work just to get home because jeepneys, taxis' and other public transport are always full during rainy days. And the traffic is really worst on this days. I would be very lucky atleast if i can hop in a jeepney in an hour of waiting. If not i'd be really walking home. Although there are angkas driver roaming around everywhere in the city to get passengers in a dollar rate (for me, its already expensive) but it would be really uncomfortable to ride on a motorcycle while heavy rain pours. Lucky if you have Uber or Grab App and atleast 1 gigabyte of data in your phone to book for a ride, if not you'd be really waiting for couple of hours just to get a ride. This was also one of the reason why i quit my previous job, the transportation and traffic that has gotten worst over the time.

Although my home is just 10 minutes away from the new office (really just a walking distance) but it was raining hard so Ish offered us a ride so yeah who would refuse. :D
I think i am lucky to be able to work near my home and to work with the people although not really related by blood but related by heart <3.
I will no longer be in dilemma nor anxious if rain is in the forecast because i can just go home easily. That's just one of the perks in working in this new working environment. hehe :D
~Some Reminders~
So for those people who struggled in going home in rainy days like this you should always be atleast prepared.
Always bring an umbrella with you rain or shine. There are three-fold umbrellas available in stores if you want it to be handy. If taxi's and jeepneys are unavailable there are angkas or uber and grab cars. Install the app on ios or android. Always make sure you have your mobile data and enough battery always. :)
