En toda buena partida de ajedrez llega un punto en el que cada pieza vuelve a su casilla de origen, independientemente de las acciones que desempe帽aron sobre el tablero. Para algunos esto significa el implacable final del juego, para otros es simplemente un un tr谩mite ef铆mero el cual da paso a la nueva lucha intelectual que est谩 por librase una vez m谩s. Peones y reyes comparten el mismo sarc贸fago a la espera de que un nuevo par de contendientes le d茅 vida al juego milenario.
La temporada 3 de la Liga de Ajedrez Chess Brothers contempla el ocaso, pero con la intenci贸n de "volver a armar el tablero". Esta tercera temporada nos ratific贸 que la comunidad de ajedrez se mantiene bastante activa en Hive y que el nivel de los ajedrecistas ha aumentado considerablemete, por lo que nos sentimos orgullosos de seguir facilitando estos espacios que ayudan a desarrollar y a promover el deporte ciencia.
La ronda n煤mero 8 dio punto final a la temporada Sacrificio maestro. Tuvimos algunas sorpresas interesantes encabezadas por bujka, un jugador desconocido de Lichess que parece ser de Serbia, seg煤n indica su perfil. Este nuevo y fuerte jugador de la liga debut贸 de manera intratable, pues con 6,5 unidades de 7 posibles destac贸 sobre el conjunto de ajedrecistas. @Tunghpong logr贸 un segundo lugar bien merecido y

Con estas ligeras variaciones en la tabla de resultados finales podemos apreciar que muchos jugadores se mantienen al acecho en busca de seguir mejorando su rendimiento. Por ejemplo,
@Rodrook complet贸 todas las rondas y pudo ubicarse en el puesto 16, siendo su performance de 1596,4 lo cual es un buen indicador de que su fuerza de juego estuvo por encima de su rating.

Uno de los premios especiales contemplados en las bases de la liga era el sacrificio m谩s bonito. Pues, como sabr谩n, esa es la tem谩tica principal del evento. Un sacrificio es como esa cereza sobre el pastel que da un toque de est茅tica a la partida de ajedrez. Si bien es cierto que muchas partidas son definidas por otros caminos, la t谩ctica siempre despierta mucho el entusiasmo.
Seleccionar el mejor sacrificio no es tarea f谩cil, pues la subjetividad es inmensa a la hora de determinar un ganador. Hubo much铆simas partidas con interesantes ataques, pero en esta ocasi贸n esta es la partida ganadora:

Fue un espect谩culo de fuegos artificiales. En esta partida las piezas blancas tienen claras intenciones de ataque sobre el rey enemigo. El primer bando entiende que la debilidad en las casillas negras es un factor a explotar y que deben ejecutar sus acciones lo m谩s pronto posible. En este momento la torre blanca de b1 se encuentra bajo amenaza, pero 
Desde el punto de vista de los motores de ajedrez esta entrega de torre no es del todo correcta, pero en una situaci贸n pr谩ctica las cosas a menudo funcionan, pues defender esta posici贸n con las piezas negras no es tarea f谩cil para un humano. Hay que hacer las jugadas m谩s precisas con muy poco tiempo en el reloj.
Tras el avance a f6 las negras aceptan el desaf铆o y las blancas embisten fuertemente. La posici贸n resultante es bastante bonita, pues se aprecia como con una torre neta de menos las blancas crearon una red de mate muy vistosa. Por supuesto, hab铆an maneras m谩s sutiles de rematar el juego, pero las blancas consiguieron doblegar al contrario, pues su acumulaci贸n de piezas en el sector del rey fue abrumadora. Las negras contaban con algunos recursos para cambiar la situaci贸n, pero como mencionamos anteriormente, esta posici贸n es todo un caos para defenderla cuando el reloj no es tu aliado.

Con un temprano ataque el primer jugador logr贸 una ventaja bastante importante, pero tras un grave descuido dejaron su propia dama sin protecci贸n, lo cual guiar铆a al bando atacante a un camino sin retorno, pues las negras obtuvieron la ventaja decisiva. Hubo algunos intentos por parte de las blancas, pero la ventaja material era abrumadora y tras una dram谩tica simplificaci贸n del juego,

In every good game of chess there comes a point at which each piece returns to its square of origin, regardless of the actions it performed on the board. For some this means the implacable end of the game, for others it is simply an ephemeral procedure which gives way to the new intellectual struggle that is about to be waged once again. Season 3 of the Chess Brothers League contemplates the sunset, but with the intention of "putting the board back together again". This third season confirmed that the chess community remains quite active in Hive and that the level of chess players has increased considerably, so we are proud to continue facilitating these spaces that help develop and promote the sport of science.
Round 8 marked the end of the Master Sacrifice season. We had some interesting surprises led by bujka, an unknown Lichess player who appears to be from Serbia, as his profile indicates. This strong new player to the league debuted in an intractable manner, as with 6.5 units out of a possible 7 he stood out from the pack of chess players. @Tungpphong took a well-deserved second place and

One of the special prizes included in the league rules was the most beautiful sacrifice. Well, as you may know, that is the main theme of the event. A sacrifice is like that cherry on the cake that gives a touch of aesthetics to the chess game. While it is true that many games are defined by other ways, the tactic always arouses a lot of enthusiasm.
Selecting the best sacrifice is not an easy task, as subjectivity is immense in determining a winner. There were many, many games with interesting attacks, but on this occasion this is the winning game:

It was a fireworks show. In this game the white pieces have clear intentions to attack the enemy king. The first side understands that the weakness on the black squares is a factor to exploit and that they must execute their actions as soon as possible. At this moment the white rook on b1 is under threat, but
From the point of view of chess engines this rook drop is not quite correct, but in a practical situation things often work out, as defending this position with the black pieces is not an easy task for a human. You have to make the most precise moves with very little time on the clock.
After the advance to f6 Black accepts the challenge and White charges hard. The resulting position is quite nice, as you can see that despite being down a full rook White created a very showy mate net. Of course, there were more subtle ways to finish off the game, but White managed to break his opponent, as his accumulation of pieces in the kingside was overwhelming. Black had some resources to change the situation, but as we mentioned before, this position is quite chaotic to defend when the clock is not your ally.
