I'm sorry if this is an actual thing and I am calling it a joke. But I've been using this hand gesture my whole life in a SUPER non- offensive way to people of all races and sexes. I stumbled across this in a non-related to racism internet search. In fact, I don't even remember what i was searching for. I was just astonished to see this. I guess people see what they want to see and just about anything can be offensive these days. So, I will just stick to this one.
I don't see any possible way a "thumbs up" can be seen as offensive! What do you think about the first hand gesture? Are people making a problem out of nothing? I've made that gesture to people of color many times with no ill intent and was not crucified. But, now I am not so sure.
