Hey Jessicapitalists

Reading through the various stimulus packages from all the countries and how they aim to restart the economy once we're all allowed out of lockdown is almost laughable. It's as if they're not even trying to help the people who voted for them. The only votes they care about are the ones from the businesses who funded them into those positions of power.

It's no secret the world is going the way of South Africa and all trying to catch up with us in terms of having the biggest wealth divide between the haves and the have nots, while the middle class has to continue to run faster and faster to remain in the same place and when they stop for a second they are dumped into poverty.

What is the actual definition of a recession?

I don't mind the rich, I mind the rentier

Being rich or wealthy is by no means evil, if you were able to attain wealth through your talents or business, by all means, you should be rewarded for your efforts. If we didn't have a system of reward no one would aspire to greatness.

What I have a problem with is we've created a system where those who have attained massive wealth no longer need to be competitive to maintain their wealth and market share and have become complacent and in many regards are simply milking the system.

The bailouts are not for the people, its a guise to make sure the rich can continue to consolidate wealth, power, assets and not have to work of innovating. They can stamp out any sort of competition that threatens them and make sure there's a steady stream of workers willing to fight for fees we call salaries to produce for them.

It can't be fair without failure

Governments have allowed playing fields to rigged in favour of the few and only pay lip service to the rest promising change but it won't change if they have control over the money supply. Until we break free from that, we're tied to all the conditions applied by the government to the money supply.

They say where it goes, who gets to use it, who gets to keep it and who gets to have more of it by the policies they put in place and conditions tied to the money via policy and financial institutions.

Now that they are bailing out companies they are choosing which companies get to survive and cherry-pick the winners in this crisis. Instead of allowing businesses to fail and letting the best ones rise to the top and remain competitive, we are propping up zombie companies that are only cash cows that can be sucked dry through share buy backs and other means.

Have your say

What do you good people of HIVE think? Has corporate cronyism gone on long enough?

So have at it my Jessies! If you don't have something to comment, comment "I am a Jessie."
