Even though you might still be wondering what on earth a guy who doesn't actually like coffee is doing writing in the coffeest community of all... That's right! Cinnamon Cup Coffee's official undercover agent.
Anyway, you already know that the love for this corner, the chats, and the ritual outweighs my own reluctance toward the bean.
Today I'm back with another experience!! A bit short this time, but I just couldn't not share it 😁.
¡Hola otra vez, mis amigos amantes del café! Espero que estén súper bien y tengan un excelente inicio de semana.
¿Me recuerdan? 🤣 ¡Soy yo! El que cada semana aparece por aquí con una nueva locura cafetera. Aunque todavía se estarán preguntando qué rayos hace un tipo al que en realidad no le gusta el café escribiendo en la comunidad más cafetera de todas...¡Así es! El infiltrado oficial de Cinnamon Cup Coffee.
Pero bueno, ya saben que el amor por este rincón, por las charlas y por el ritual puede más que mis propias reticencias con el grano.
Hoy regreso con otra experiencia!! Un poco corta esta vez pero no puedo dejar de compartirla😁.
Well, I've already gone a whole week without tasting coffee, and while for you guys that might be a headache, for me it's totally normal hahaha. So yesterday I went out shopping with my best friend—well, to be honest, I wanted to treat myself because I want to, because I can, and because I deserve it hahah 😅. And why not stop by for a snack, huh? 😏
Oh yes!! We ended up at Café Fortuna in Ciroa, in Vista Alegre, Santiago de Cuba.
If I were to talk to you about the staff's customer service, I'd have to make a whole separate post. It's magnificent, my friends. In fact, the girls have already appeared in several posts on other platforms, with people praising their treatment and service. I can even say I'm friends with one of them now 🤣. And of course, she surprised me this time! She handed me the menu, and with the heat I was dragging around, I asked about cold drinks.
To my surplriiiise, I heard: iced coffee shake. Seriously, I didn't know that existed hahaha. And since I already have a commitment to you guys and coffee, I said: let's try it! Friends, I think we're on the right track; could I be discovering my coffee? One that I actually like? Maybe that coffee is just a myth? You guys tell 🤣. All I know is that it was veeery delicious and refreshing. With the ice cubes, that layer of milk on top, and a flavor just like coffee ice cream ☕.
Pues ya pasé toda una semana sin probar café y aunque para ustedes quizás sea un dolor de cabeza para mí es algo normal hahaha. Así que ayer salí a hacer compras con mi mejor amigo, vamos para ser sincero quería regalarme algo porque quiero, porque puedo y me lo merezco hahah😅. Y por qué no llegar a por un refrigerio ah?😏. Pues sí!! Llegamos al Café Fortuna en el Ciroa, en Vista Alegre, Santiago de Cuba.
Si les hablo de la atención del personal tendría que hacer otra publicación la verdad. Magnífica mis amigos, de hecho las muchachas han salido ya en varias publicaciones de otras plataformas, el público agradeciendo su trato y servicio. Ya hasta puedo decir que soy amigo de una de ellas🤣. Y claro ella me sorprendió esta vez! Me ofreció el menú, y con el calor que traía pregunté por las bebidas frías.
Para mi sorpresaaaa, escuché batido de café con leche. En serio no sabía que eso existía hahaha. Y como ya tengo un compromiso con ustedes y el café, dije: vamos a probarlo! Amigos creo que vamos por buen camino, quizás esté descubriendo mi café? Uno que sí me guste? Quizás ese café es un invento? Ustedes dirán🤣. Yo solo sé que estaba muuuyy rico y refrescante. Con los cubitos de hielo esa capa de leche por encima y el sabor como a helado de café ☕.
But the story doesn't end there, noooooo. As it turns out hahaha, this morning I woke up feeling inventive because now I'm Mandraquillo the little mad scientist 🤦♂️. And I wanted to recreate the same drink at home. Total disaster and a complete disrespect to the art 🤣. Well, with the blackout situation we're living through in Cuba, there's no time to make ice—that would be another achievement I can't tell you about just yet—so I tried to make it with a little bit of water as cold as possible, the coffee the actual coffee drinkers made at home, and milk. What a horror that was haha 😅. Will I have to go back to the same place for an iced coffee shake? What do you think? In the end, the story wasn't that short, but just remembering it makes me laugh so much. We'll keep sharing coffee experiences.

Pero ahí no termina la historia noooooo. Resulta y acontece hahaha, que esta mañana me levanté con ganas de inventar porque ahora soy Mandraquillo el inventor pepillo🤦🏻♂️. Y quise hacer en casa la misma bebida. Todo un desastre y una falta de respeto al arte🤣. Bueno con la situación que vivimos en Cuba de los apagones, no da tiempo a hacer hielo, ya eso sería otro logro que aún no puedo contarles, así que traté de hacerlo con un poquito de agua lo más fría posible, el café que hicieron los q sí toman en casa, y la leche. Qué horror aquello haha 😅. Tendré que ir otra vez al mismo lugar por un batido de café? Qué piensan? Al final no fue tan corta la historia pero es que recordarla me hace mucha gracia. Ya seguiremos contando experiencias cafeteras.
