English Version

Things happen and we learn

Everything we do has an impact on different aspects of our lives. If I decide not to get out of bed, what I was planning to do is changed and then the planning was of no use.

Doing wrong or failing to do is the same. Our cat had four kittens, three of them very small, more than once I sat down to take care of them nursing, because the mother favored the largest one, something like it was her favorite. Having too many cats is not good, and I didn't know who would love these little ones.

I traveled for Christmas and New Year's Day, I was told that someone had been interested in the four little animals and would take them to a farm. She was a woman who liked animals, they told me. I was happy, although with a certain nostalgia, a strange feeling because although six cats was a lot, with the two we already have, taking care of the little ones had become a routine. They were very spoiled and I didn't know how they would behave away from us. But it was necessary to put them up for adoption, they were already more than two months old.

I just found out that the three youngest died, apparently there were other stronger cats that competed with them and ate faster. I was disappointed in the situation. The person who took them stopped doing things, did not make sure they ate and even though he "likes cats", he did not provide the necessary attention to each one.

The surviving cat also has its story. He had just turned two months old when a neighbor asked for him to take to a friend of hers, who had had hers stolen. It seemed good to us.

Three days later I went to a nearby town to shop, on the way back I decided, I don't know why, to stay two blocks early and change the return route. On the way I heard repetitive meows, I thought that some recently given birth cat was nearby.

I let myself be guided by the sound until I came to a beautiful cat, very similar to the one we had given two days before. I hurried home to leave the bags I was carrying and went back to look for him. Yes, it was him, he drank a lot of water and ate desperately. I was perplexed, how whoever received it got rid of it, or if it was lost or what happened, but more so because of the fact that that day he had decided to change the route for no reason, he always came to me on another street, if there was one. I don't see it and who knows how it would have gone. The neighbor couldn't give a coherent explanation. Now he is a surviving cat again.

We don't know how situations are going to develop, they are things that happen and that speak about ourselves. Now we have to try to sterilize the mother cat, she gets very stressed when she has babies, she doesn't always take care of them.

As you are with animals, you are with people. Unexplained situations occur that bring solutions to other problems. Sometimes you think you can solve it and you are complicating the situation and when you feel calmer, life surprises you with other issues, so that we are never without anything to do.
