How beautiful life is to leave us with so many experiences, but especially those where someone has touched our soul with a gesture of kindness and generosity, one of those that are not forgotten.

The daily routine provides many moments where we see that giving a hand is encouraging, both for the one who receives and for the one who gives, but also for the one who witnesses. I usually travel on city buses, sometimes when I get on there are no more free seats but I always find a place to sit, because men and women also give me their seats.
Children can learn from a young age to do something kind to adults, in addition to greeting, offering help, preventing some risk and they do it willingly, even when their collaboration might not be effective. My eight-year-old grandson sees me going down the stairs and rushes to take my hand, "I helped you, grandma," he says, self-assured. I accept it, but I hold on tight to the handrail without him noticing, for him, the pleasure of helping lights up his face.
That steaming coffee, prepared to my liking by a son, my sister, daughter-in-law or friend, comforts me so much. They are everyday acts, but they are there with the intention of pleasing, of making you feel good and that gesture becomes important and is appreciated. I will never forget a young man who brought me this drink at one in the morning, in a health center where my mother was hospitalized. In addition to the warmth it gave to my body, it filled me with well-being and I was able to endure the wait with a different spirit, because acts of solidarity counteract loneliness.
Gestures such as keeping the door open for the person behind you to pass, or rushing to open it for someone with busy hands, show spontaneous solidarity, because kind acts are not only for those who are part of our affections, but also for strangers.
We can be predisposed and maliciously suspicious when someone cares about taking care of us, because even the networks have spread examples of situations where people, for being kind, receive unpleasant consequences, modus operandi that evildoers carry out to harm, which generates suspicion, even that has contaminated the networks.
There are those who dedicate themselves to premeditating evil. Answering the phone, when we see a number, that is not added is scary; Accepting an invitation to get in a car, or unsolicited help are seen as reasons for concern. There are situations where this lends itself to abuse and nobody wants to have a bad time.

The culture of selfless help is installed in the Venezuelan people, it can be assured without exaggeration that we are part of a cordial people, where people greet each other with appreciation. There are countries where neighbors do not know each other despite having lived nearby for a long time, it does not usually happen in these parts where there is a saying that the neighbor is the closest relative. Many of the strange things that those who emigrate suffer are meeting xenophobes and receiving abuses.
Perhaps that is one of the greatest treasures that our idiosyncrasy has that we should not lose.
