This is my weekly battle mage secrets submission with the Theme Back to Basics

First time I am sharing my battle in 15 Mana. It is always a difficult task to choose our summoner and monster in lowest health base game play. Splinterlands season is also very close to finish and just 10 hours to go to finish the season.
In this season I am going to cross my maximum season reward. May be possible that I will get a 60 plus season reward. I have already unlocked Diamond League but I am still battling in Gold League. Last time I will decide whether I have to open my reward in Gold League or Diamond League.
After that I will choose to advance to jump into Diamond League. Actually till now I have not maximize my all summoners, last moment I step into Diamond League.

BACK TO BASICS

This battle ruleset is the part of gameplay and one have to perform well by using skill because in this ruleset we do not get `Buffs and Dbuffs` from monster. Yes we can use the Buffs of Summoners. This ruleset is simple. Either use high health monster or use Monsters with high attack/speed ability. Magic Monsters can be effective but there was no summoner with additional magic attack in my game wallet as only four splinters were active. If Earth unit was active then I could use Obsidia. Finally I decided to use Silenced ability summoner Thaddius Brood.

THADDIUS BROOD AS MY SUMMONER

There was no option for me to use magic additional seminar that's why I decided to use Thaddius Brood as my summoner. I could use Range additional summoner from Life unit but if my opposition comes with Storm Bringer then my team would be helpless. That's why I decided to use Thaddius Brood. It is a Rare Chaos Legion Edition summoner that provides Silence ability along with Weaken. It is a four Mana double ability summoner from Death unit. Due to Back to Basics I could use the only ability of summoner. Monsters abilities were inactive due to ruleset.

It was just 15 minute game play, so my first concern was choosing my summoner. In the Life unit there are 5 monsters in two Mana but most of them are Melee or Ranged attacks monsters.
The Earth unit was inactive, so Thaddius Brood was the best option for me. In the Death unit there are also some pretty good Monsters in 2 Mana.
It was low mana game play but three rules were applied for the battle. Four unit Life, Death, Water and Dragon were active. Being Equalizer battle ruleset, I decided to use Death unit.

CLOSE RANGE
All range Monsters will be in action mode and they will be able to perform from first position.

BACK TO BASICS
All Monsters have to battle without their abilities. It means we are not going to get any abilities from monsters rather we can use summoner's buffs.

EQUALIZER
All Monsters will get a similar health based on the highest health monster from both teams.

It was very difficult task 2 set up our battle squad in 15 Mana. Fortunately I got Equalizer battle ruleset, so it was little easy for me to set up my team. I decided to use four attacking monsters. All these monsters were range attack Monster. As I was thinking my enemy team will come with Thaddius Brood in Back to Basics battle ruleset. For the first and second position I decided to use zero Mana neutral monster Furious Chicken and Corpse Fiend. After that two Range monster with two Mana. Last and second last position I placed respectively 4 range attack monster Soul strangler and Twisted Jester. There was no more plan for the battle, just I wanted to give enough chance to these range Monsters. There was no magic monster in my battle squad. One thing that I can say that my opposition team could not choose an appropriate battle squad in 15 Mana.

FURIOUS CHICKEN

This is a zero Mana Monster from Reward edition. It is a rare card from neutral unit. Like wise it is a zero Mana Monster but it is very useful monster with Doctor Blight in low mana. Without back to basics we can use this card to provide Scavenger ability for Doctor blight. Unfortunately it was back to basic ruleset, so its role was to protest enemy team with Equalizer health. Although we get single Melee attack and Enrage ability at 5th level but there was no use of it in Back to Basics battle ruleset. In 15 Mana gameplay I adjusted 2 zero Mana monster.

CORPSE FIEND

If you have remember then we get 4 zero Mana legendary cards from Chaos Legion Edition for Life, Death, Earth, and Fire unit. There is no zero Mana monster in water and Dragon unit. First time we got legendary zero Mana monster. Furious Chicken do not provides Melee attack from first level but with Corpse Fiend we get Melee attack from initial level. This Monster comes with single Melee attack, 3 speed and two health at Max level. At Max level we get Silenced ability but there was no use of it due to back to basics battle ruleset. Equalizer rule set increased the value of zero Mana monster in this battle.

UNDEAD ARCHER

This small pack is very useful especially in the little League battle ruleset. It is only two mana monster. Archer is a rare card from Death unit that provides two Range attack and Shatter ability from 5 level. I wanted to use it's two range attack. There is a pretty good monster in death unit in two Mana. Undead Archer is one of them. Like other Monster it is also not going to provide any buffs to the team. Yes it can help with two range attack. It was the second to Mana Monster that I was using in 15 Mana gameplay. Due to back to basics battle rule set, we are not going to use the ability of this monster.

WEIRDING WARRIOR

This is an Epic Chaos Legion Edition card from Death unit. I was using Lord Arianthus at first position so I decided to support Thorn with Amplify ability of it. I was using level four of it and at this level we get 2 Range attack, 3 speed and 2 health. This Monster comes with two abilities Amplify and Shatter. All these abilities are enough in 2 Mana. I was using this little League Monster in 4th position. Unfortunately I was not capable to use the ability of this Monster because of battle ruleset. With the back to basics one can use the ability of summoners but all Monsters will be inactive mode and one can use only their attack. I was trying to adjust maximum monster in 15 Mana gameplay. I was using this two Mana Epic monster at 4th place.

SOUL STRANGLER

There was only single reason to use this Monster to use its pretty good four range attack. It is also a rare monster in three Mana. Including this Monster there were four Monster below 4 Mana. It is a Chaos Legion edition Rare monster. We get no abilities inside this monster. Likewise it was Back to Basics ruleset, so I had to play without abilities. Just 4 range attack, 3 speed and three health at level 6. This Monster was no getting an additional ability. I was using this Monster at 5th position to provide enough chance for attack. Four damage in back to basics is pretty good enough.

TWISTED JESTER

It is a four Mana rare card from death unit. Like wise it comes with Snipe and Dodge ability but it was ineffective in back to basics ruleset. It was the single called that I was using in four Mana. It is an Alpha, Beta edition card that provides four range attack, four Speed and 6 health at Max level. I was using this Monster at last position. Actually I was thinking to use high attack monster at last and second last position. You will see that without abilities these cards proved best one in 15 Mana.

DO I LIKE TO BATTLE WITH BACK TO BASICS? WHY OR WHY NOT?

It always be interesting to battle with some particular battle ruleset. Everyone knows that it is a battle ruleset and it comes occasionally not every time so it can be said it always be interesting to execute our strategy and plan in such battle ruleset.
Broken Arrows, Stampede, Lost magic, Back to Basics, Keep your distance, Silenced Summoner and Up to close and Personal are such battle ruleset where needs special ability to choose appropriate battle squad..In case of Back to Basics I like this battle ruleset because here we get chance to show our wisdom to select perfect team combination.

DID MY STRATEGY WORKED WELL? WILL I TRY DIFFERENTLY IN NEXT TIME?

I think my strategy and plan worked very well. However, it was not at all the team I was expecting. I was hoping for magic additional summoner and magic Monsters. My position team showed faith in General Sloan but instead choosing low mana range monster, my opposition team give 5 Mana and two Mana Range monsters.
Silvershield Archer and Herbalist could be a better option with zero Mana monster at front. It was closed range ruleset so these monsters could be use from first position. Unfortunately my position team think differently that's why they lost the battle within 3 round.
While by first and second position was for zero Mana monsters and rest of the monsters were attacking monster with pretty good range attack. When I finished the battle for Monsters were remaining from my side. So I can say that my strategy and plan worked very well. Yes, I will do some change in next battle according to new battle rule set and Mana.
