Welcome back!

It's time for a quick update on my Frontier deck – and quite a bit has happened since my last post. The regular cards are MAXED. I'm happy to say that I've now maxed all the cards that can be obtained from the regular Frontier packs. Every single pack card is MAXED.

Getting there was mainly a matter of opening packs and collecting enough copies to combine the cards. That worked, but I quickly noticed one problem, it was wwwwaaayyyyyy to slow. At some point, waiting for the right cards to show up in packs simply wasn't efficient enough anymore. So I changed my approach and I started buying the specific cards I was missing directly from the market. And the advantage is pretty obvious: It's so much, much faster. Instead of hoping that the next pack contains exactly what I need, I can simply buy the missing copies and upgrade the card immediately. For the final stages of the regular cards, that made a huge difference.

But there are more cards…

Just when I thought I was almost done, there was the other group of Frontier cards: the special cards that aren't available in the regular packs. These are a different story. You can either acquire them directly through the market or get lucky with the Daily Rewards.

And, apparently, I had a little bit of luck. Twice, actually. I managed to get two of these special cards from my rewards:

Of course, getting the cards is only the first step. I still have to MAX them. And that's going to take a little longer. These cards are considerably more expensive, so buying enough copies to max them is a much bigger investment than it was with the regular pack cards. For now, I'll keep an eye on the market and see where I can make sensible upgrades.

And then there are the cards you can trade in the shop for sparks…

In theory, that's another interesting progression path. In practice, however, I took a look at the shop and then at my current Sparks balance…

I'm not really swimming in Sparks with my about 14k Sparks. 🙃 So at the moment, I don't see a realistic way of getting these cards through Sparks alone. Especially because 3 of them aren't available anymore and the stock of the other 3 is very limited.

That probably leaves me with the same solution as before, the market... If I really want these cards, I'll eventually have to decide whether they're worth the investment and buy them directly.

So where does that leave me?

The big milestone has definitely been reached. All regular Frontier pack cards are MAXED. The next step is to work on the special Frontier cards I already own – and potentially pick up others when the right opportunity comes along. The Sparks cards are a different matter. For now, I'll keep playing, collecting rewards and watching the market. The Frontier deck is getting closer and closer to being completely MAXED.
