Hi Everyone

Yesterday I was messing around in my kitchen and thought it would be fun to try and recreate the McDonalds Big Mac from scratch.

I made the buns a little bigger than I normally would so there would be enough bread to cut out a middle spacer section.

Its pretty easy to recreate the Big Mac signature sauce by combining mayonnaise ,mustard , ketchup ,onion powder , garlic granules ,diced pickles with some pickle juice from the jar and diced onions.

For the burger patties I used dry aged Aberdeen Angus beef which I cooked "smash burger" style.

Everyone in my household that tried this agreed it tasted pretty much the same as a McDonalds Big Mac.

I prefer my crusty burger buns to the sesame seeded style McDonalds uses.

Double stacking it was probably overkill ,I struggled to get a bite of the whole stack :).
