A villa appeared in front of them. His father cheered. Exhausted, they walked one step after another and finally came to the villa where they collapsed and were about to fall into sound sleep.
Suddenly, Harry recalled that falling asleep under a freezing cold condition could be fatal as the body temperature might decrease drastically. So Harry woke up hurriedly.
As he was trying to wake his father up, he was stunned by what he saw.
“Swoosh…”
A fair-skinned lady in white was blowing cold air towards his father’s lips-after which his father’s body turned stiff and breathless.
Harry wanted to scream out loud but he couldn’t.
The lady looked at Harry and slowly approached him.
“You’re so young. It would be a pity if you’re frozen to death. I will let you go, but with one condition. You mustn’t tell anyone about me. If you let the cat out of the bag, I will kill you at once.”
Harry nodded in fear.
When Harry pulled himself together, the lady had already gone.
Ten years had passed after the incident.
Harry, who had just graduated from the university, was on a winter trip with his girlfriend, Jenny. This was the first time he revisited the ski area ever since his father’s death-an incident which had slowly sunk into oblivion after so many years.
As Harry held his girlfriend’s hand and walked in the snow, he told Jenny about the incident. Jenny held his hand tight and said that he should let go of the past.
Harry looked into Jenny’s eyes sentimentally.
“Jane, you really resemble a girl I met before. When my dad died, there was a very pretty girl in white. But anyway, I shouldn’t be telling anyone about this secret…”
Jenny’s eyes suddenly turned red. Heavy snow fell from the clear skies all of a sudden.
“Didn’t I tell you not to mention to anybody about this secret? I’ve got no choice but to take your life!”
With her long hair swaying in the wind, Jenny blew a puff of cold air towards Harry….
