Pues bien, recuerdo que la última vez que subí un dibujo acá, mencioné que me gustaría que mi arte tuviera más sentimiento, que representara algo más personal.

Entonces, días después, obtuve lo que pedí. La inspiración vino en forma de una experiencia triste; una tristeza lo suficientemente profunda como para hacerme sentir esa característica presión en el pecho.

Así que les presento un dibujo que, aunque no esté muy bonito, vino de mi mente y de mi corazón, pues es de las pocas veces que no usé imagen de referencia. Acompáñenme en este proceso, ¡vamos allá!

Well, I remember the last time I uploaded a drawing here, I mentioned that I would like my art to have more feeling, to represent something more personal.

Then, days later, I got what I asked for. Inspiration came in the form of a sad experience; a sadness deep enough to make me feel that characteristic pressure in my chest.

So I present to you a drawing that, although not very pretty, came from my mind and from my heart, as it is one of the few times I did not use a reference image. Join me in this process, let's go!

Primero comienzo por hacer el boceto, trazando formas geométricas simples. Por ejemplo, un óvalo para la cabeza, haciendo la forma inferior ligeramente puntiaguda; para hacer la caja torácica, hago un triángulo “redondeado”; y para los brazos hago unas formas cilíndricas.

No soy buena dibujando la anatomía, y de hecho actualmente estoy haciendo poco a poco un curso de dibujo, aquí no estaba segura de cómo hacer los cuerpos exactamente. Aunque este cuerpo no está tan mal, pues hay chicas que tienen los hombros más anchos que las caderas, pero un error del que me di cuenta muy tarde fueron los brazos, que están muy largos. Sin embargo, sigamos con el proceso.

First I start by making the sketch, tracing simple geometric shapes. For example, an oval for the head, making the bottom shape slightly pointed; to make the rib cage, I make a "rounded" triangle; and for the arms I make some cylindrical shapes.

I'm not good at drawing anatomy, and in fact I'm currently doing a little by little drawing course, here I wasn't sure exactly how to make the bodies. Although this body isn't too bad, as there are girls who have wider shoulders than hips, but one mistake I realized too late were the arms, which are too long. However, let's move on with the process.

Aquí ya le di la forma al cuerpo, con trazos más redondeados, e hice la forma de un hueco en la parte del corazón, como si el cuerpo estuviera hecho de cerámica y se ha roto.

Luego, con mi lapicero de color rojo, hice lo que sería el Lineart.

Here I gave the shape to the body, with more rounded strokes, and I made the shape of a hole in the part of the heart, as if the body was made of ceramic and has been broken.

Then, with my red pencil, I made what would be the Lineart.

Hice unas iris redondas y los ojos un poco cerrados y sin brillo, para dar ese toque de tristeza. Las pestañas las hice bajas, con pequeños trazos con lapicero rojo. Y finalmente añadí dos pequeñas sombras debajo de los ojos, para hacer ojeras. Una mirada apagada.

I drew round irises and the eyes a bit closed and without brightness, to give that touch of sadness. The eyelashes were made low, with small red pencil strokes. And finally I added two small shadows under the eyes, to make dark circles. A muted look.

Di un poco de sombra en la zona donde la nariz y los ojos se juntan, y en la nariz. Hice unos labios tristes, caídos, y sin color, solo una ligera sombra. Me gusta mucho dibujar las narices ahora de esta forma, siento que son un elemento importante que da personalidad al dibujo, aunque no lo crean. También me encanta hacer las cejas como pequeños trazos suaves, en dirección a donde crecen los pelos.

I added a little shadow in the area where the nose and eyes meet, and on the nose. I made sad, droopy lips, and no color, just a light shadow. I really like drawing the noses this way now, I feel they are an important element that gives personality to the drawing, believe it or not. I also love to do the eyebrows as small soft strokes, in the direction where the hairs grow.

Aquí, con el lápiz rojo, comencé a remarcar la silueta del personaje suavemente, porque sentía el que el lineart con lapicero se veía algo vacío, no lo sé… También le di más detalles a la grieta del pecho y al líquido que sale de este en consecuencia; no quisiera decir que es sangre, porque la idea del dibujo no es que sea sangriento ni mucho menos, sino que intenté reflejar ese sentimiento negativo en el pecho. Asimismo, me encargué de darle sombras y detalles suaves con el color rojo, donde mejor me parecía.

Here, with the red pencil, I began to highlight the silhouette of the character softly, because I felt that the lineart with pencil looked a bit empty, I don't know... I also gave more details to the crack of the chest and the liquid that comes out of it as a consequence; I wouldn't like to say that it is blood, because the idea of the drawing is not that it is bloody, but I tried to reflect that negative feeling in the chest. Also, I took care of giving shadows and soft details with the red color, where it seemed best for me.

El cabello lo hice comenzando por un boceto, donde determinó el volumen y textura del cabello, luego di sombras con un color rojo; normalmente, suelo darle color a las puntas, medios y raíces de algunos mechones, también remarqué los mechones con lapicero rojo.

I did the hair starting with a sketch, where I determined the volume and texture of the hair, then I gave shadows with a red color; normally, I usually give color to the ends, middle and roots of some locks, I also highlighted the locks with red pencil.

Añadí más color rojo a todo el dibujo, en las sombras, detalles y en el cabello, pues sentía que le faltaba más color. Y ya aquí tenemos el resultado.

Y como siempre, una foto más de cerca, como suelo acostumbrar. En general, me encanta como se ven los trazos sobre el papel, por eso procuro que puedan apreciarlos más de cerca, aunque en mis dibujos no suelan ser la gran cosa.
