Let's go. Where? Well, to Las Terrazas, a spectacular place that I was eager to visit and where my cousin
@danaye took me for a walk. This place is located in the Sierra del Rosario, belonging to the province of Artemisa, in western Cuba.

What can we find? I assure you that you will find much more than nature, as you can visit the Casa de Polo Monta帽茅s, which includes history and good music, Creole food, or take a Canopy ride if you prefer something more adventurous, as well as swimming in the San Juan River and hiking.
驴Qu茅 podemos encontrar? Te aseguro que encontraras mucho m谩s que naturaleza, ya que puedes visitar la Casa de Polo Monta帽茅s, incluidas en ella historia y buena m煤sica, comida criolla, o dar un paseo en Canopy si prefieres algo m谩s movido, as铆 como ba帽arte en el r铆o San Juan y hacer senderismo.
In our case, we decided to first visit the Buenavista Cafetal estate, where the coffee drying process used to take place. I really liked this first stop, especially because of the panoramic view it offers, the garden, and the variety of bird species that live here, such as woodpeckers, hummingbirds, and bijiritas, among others.
En nuestro caso, decidimos primero subir a la hacienda Buenavista Cafetal, lugar donde antiguamente llevaban a cabo todo el proceso de secado del caf茅. Me gusto mucho esta primera parada, sobre todo por la panor谩mica que ofrece, el jard铆n, y la cantidad de especies de aves que aqu铆 hacen vida, como p谩jaros carpinteros, colibr铆es, bijiritas entre otros.
We continued towards the San Juan River, along an almost enchanted path, full of vegetation and roots that come to life, until we reached the small turquoise pools and waterfalls where I was really excited to dive in, but it was very cold. If you already follow me, you know what I call this, yes, excuses to come back, and I have several.
Seguimos hacia el R铆o San Juan, por un camino casi encantado, lleno de vegetaci贸n y ra铆ces que cobran vida, hasta llegar a las peque帽as pocetas y cascadas de color turqueza en las que me entusiasma demasiado lanzarme de cabeza, pero hab铆a mucho fr铆o. Si ya me sigues, sabes c贸mo le llamo a esto, s铆, excusas para volver, y tengo varias.
My second excuse to come back are these cabins facing the river, which have a value of 900 pesos with breakfast included. Would you stay in them? I would. I imagine the delightful scenario of sleeping all night with the sound of the river, and the best part I haven't told you yet, in this area it is forbidden to play music, so I would be free from reggaeton or any other unwanted noise jjjj. I don't know what else you could ask for.
Mi segunda excusa para volver son estas caba帽as frente al r铆o que tienen un valor de 900 pesos con desayuno incluido. 驴Te quedar铆as en ellas? Yo s铆. Me imagino el delicioso escenario de dormir toda la noche con el sonido del r铆o, y lo mejor no te lo he contado, en esta zona est谩 prohibido poner m煤sica, as铆 que estar铆a libre de reguet贸n, o cualquier otro ruido indeseado jjjj. No s茅 qu茅 m谩s se puede pedir.
We continued towards the Moka Hotel, a valid option if you want a little more comfort, where there are also beautiful views of the lake and the boathouse. The hotel has a swimming pool, but I didn't see it this time. My first recommendation if you come for a visit is to come with time, because it is a large place and it deserves to be explored slowly so that you don't miss anything.
Seguimos hacia el hotel Moka, opci贸n v谩lida si quieres tener un poco m谩s de confort, en el cual tambi茅n hay hermosas vistas del lago y la casa de los botes. El hotel tiene piscina, pero en esta ocasi贸n no la vi. Mi primera recomendaci贸n si vienes de visita, es que vengas con tiempo, porque es un lugar grande y merece ir despacio para que no te pierdas nada.
The third excuse to come back is to ride the Canopy, an activity that I love, not only for the adrenaline but also for the perspective of seeing everything from above and somehow exploring a large part of the place while flying.
La tercera excusa para volver es montar en el Capopy, actividad que me encanta, no solo por la adrenalina, sino por la perspectiva de ver todo desde arriba y de alguna forma recorrer gran parte del lugar volando.
Finally, we drove approximately 3 kilometers to La Casa del Campesino, where we were surprised by a group playing Polo's repertoire live, I didn't ask, but I think it's the same group that played with the singer. At this point, I got very excited, I'm so grateful to life, the universe, or whatever it may be, for living such beautiful experiences and being with my loved ones, I almost started crying with happiness, but I held back.
Por 煤ltimo, rodamos aproximadamente 3 kil贸metros hasta La Casa del Campesino, done nos sorprendi贸 un grupo tocando en vivo el repertorio de Polo, no pregunte, pero creo que es el mismo que tocaba con dicho cantante. En este punto me emocion茅 much铆simo, agradezco tanto a la vida, al universo, o a lo que sea, vivir tan lindas experiencias y al lado de mis seres queridos, que casi me pongo a llorar de felicidad, pero me contuve.
Then they brought us the menu, we ordered chopped pork, congri, and fried viandas, thus concluding our tour and with a full belly, you know, a full stomach makes the heart happier, or something like that.
Enseguida nos trajeron la carta, pedimos cerdo troceado, congr铆, y vianda frita, concluyendo as铆 nuestro tour y con la bariga llena, ya sabes, el coraz贸n est谩 m谩s contento, o algo as铆.
I want to conclude this post by wholeheartedly recommending this place, whether you live in Cuba or outside of it, because of the quality of everything it offers and the peace and good vibes I experienced during the journey.
