Hi friends, it's a pleasure to participate in this new #weekend-engagement edition organised by @galenkp.
As every weekend @galenkp provides us with a series of very interesting topics that make us reflect and in my case allows me to have fun.
"Passion
Tell us what you're passionate about...Excluded is religion, crypto and gaming so don't write about them. Use photos you took yourself, not stock images, and the post must be 300 words long or more."
In life there are many things that I am passionate about, such as traveling, going fishing and even my job is my passion.
However, after doing a personal introspection and reviewing the multitude of photographs I have in my camera and my cell phone, I have come to the conclusion that one of my passions is to be sharing table and tablecloth with my friends.
As a result of my job and the fact that I am only in the town where I grew up on weekends, I can differentiate between a group of lifelong friends and another group of friends who are actually my co-workers.
With my lifelong friends (Eduardo and Miguel), I can only meet them on weekends and holidays.
During the weekends it is normal that on Saturdays we meet to drink a couple of wines in one of the locals of Ribadeo, Navia or La Caridad.
After these moments of rest we usually talk about how the week has gone, we catch up on some news that has happened in the village or if not always comes out some conversation related to our hobbies such as hunting, Formula 1, and in my case I always bring up the subject of the HIVE universe, but without managing to convince them to discover this universe.
After these rounds of wine and when the night comes, encouraged by alcohol and good company, we always end up visiting one of the restaurants in the area to eat some tapas or one of our favorite dishes such as cachopos asturianos (beef steaks stuffed with cheese and ham).
On other occasions, and when the summer arrives, apart from my friends Eduardo and Miguel, other friends who are now married and with children also join these lunches or dinners.
It is fun to coincide with them when they bring their partners and especially their sons and daughters. Especially when my friend Javier brings his daughter Daniela, who is a delight and who always cheers up the meals with some of her witticisms.
Another of the special moments that the three musketeers usually share is to go for a few days in the summer to some place not far from our homes to enjoy gastronomic days.
One of the last trips was to the town of O Grove (Pontevedra) where the mussels and seafood festival is famous.
In that town, we booked a great seafood bathed with white wine, denomination of origin albariño inside a catamaran. So that during dinner on the boat we were touring much of the Arousa estuary and it was a very nice experience, which we plan to repeat in June.
But without a doubt, the moment I most enjoy sharing with my friends are the barbecues we have on weekends in July and August.
With the arrival of good weather and whenever our family and work responsibilities allow us, we always organize 3 or 4 picnics.
These picnics are always full of good humor, beer, wine and good portions of barbecued ribs with their respective sausages.
As I had indicated at the beginning of the post, apart from lifelong friends, I also consider my work colleagues as friends, since I have been sharing moments with them for almost 15 years.
Those who follow me will know that I am practically every week traveling all over Spain and occasionally I go to the office every two weeks or so.
After not coinciding with my co-workers for weeks, my best friend from the office and I usually meet up to catch up in one of the trendy streets of Oviedo for a beer or wine.
And of course, one thing always leads to another and we end up having dinner in a restaurant in the city. Specifically, last Thursday we had dinner at A Carballeira restaurant.
In this restaurant we enjoyed a delicious octopus with boiled potatoes seasoned with paprika and also an excellent fish pate and a delicious cheesecake.
So, as you can see, my passion is friends and if we share table and tablecloth, all the better.
Best regards.
