Hola amigos, esta es mi primera participación en la comunidad #marketfriday.
Quería compartir con ustedes una reciente experiencia que he tenido en mi ciudad en la búsqueda de adornos navideños para estas fechas tan importantes para compartir en familia en un ambiente de amor y armonía.
La semana pasada, me encontraba en casa mirando mis adornos navideños y me he dado cuenta de que estos han perdido bastante brillo respecto al aspecto original y por ello me acerqué a un nuevo centro comercial que han abierto en Oviedo.

I wanted to share with you a recent experience I have had in my city in the search for Christmas decorations for these important dates to share with family in an atmosphere of love and harmony.
Last week, I was at home looking at my Christmas decorations and I realized that they have lost quite a bit of shine compared to the original appearance and so I went to a new shopping center that has opened in Oviedo.
En un primer momento, tenía la intención de ir a una tienda generalista de decoración para ver si tenían bolas de navidad y espumillón con la que adornar mi árbol de navidad. Sin embargo, justamente a la entrada del centro comercial me encontré un mercadillo de navidad que desde fuera ya me dio la impresión que encontraría los adornos deseados y seguramente más adornos típicos. Por tanto, no dude en acercarme a ver qué adornos había y se me ocurrió ir fotografiando los distintos tipos de adornos para compartirlos en mi blog y explicar alguno de los adornos que son típicos en España y que puede que no sean tan típicos en otros lugares del mundo.
At first, I had the intention of going to a general decoration store to see if they had Christmas balls and tinsel to decorate my Christmas tree. However, just at the entrance of the mall I found a Christmas market that from the outside already gave me the impression that I would find the desired ornaments and probably more typical ornaments. Therefore, I did not hesitate to go and see what decorations there were and I thought of photographing the different types of ornaments to share them in my blog and explain some of the decorations that are typical in Spain and that may not be so typical in other parts of the world.
Una vez me acerque al mercadillo, lo primero que captó mi atención fue un Papa Noel subido sobre una caja de regalo que estaba siendo muy aclamado por los niños que había en el centro comercial. De hecho, tuve que esperar bastante tiempo para poder conseguir su fotografía sin haber niños en la foto, ya que me gusta evitar publicar fotos de niños sin consentimiento en mi blog.
Once I approached the flea market, the first thing that caught my attention was a Santa Claus on top of a gift box that was being cheered by the children in the mall. In fact, I had to wait quite a while to get his picture without children in the picture, as I like to avoid posting pictures of children without consent on my blog.
A continuación, una vez conseguí la foto anterior, accedí al interior del mercadillo de adornos navideños a través de un arco custodiado por un Papa Noel y un muñeco de nieve.
Next, once I got the above photo, I accessed the interior of the Christmas decorations market through an archway guarded by a Santa Claus and a snowman.
La primera estantería que encontré a mi izquierda, según entre en el mercadillo, tenía múltiples adornos de navidad de distinto tipo. Por ejemplo, en esta estantería captó mi atención los árboles de navidad en miniatura que había en la parte superior de la estantería, que son ideales para colocarlos sobre muebles del salón o en el recibidor de la casa. En esta estantería también captaron mi atención los adornos a base de estrellas, piñas y muérdago que son ideales para decorar la puerta de la casa.
The first shelf I found to my left, as I entered the flea market, had multiple Christmas decorations of different types. For example, this shelf caught my eye with the miniature Christmas trees on the top of the shelf, which are ideal for placing on living room furniture or in the foyer of the house. Also catching my eye on this shelf were the star, pinecone and mistletoe ornaments, which are ideal for decorating the front door.
Una vez revisado esta primera estantería, en la siguiente me encontré con unos adornos de faroles con velas que eran muy bonitos y que deje anotado pasarme en próximos días a comprar un par de ellos para decorar también la casa de mi madre, ya que yo para la mía ya dispongo de este tipo de faroles y creo que a ella le hará ilusión que se los regale para adornar su casa.
Once reviewed this first shelf, in the next one I found some lanterns with candles ornaments that were very nice and I left annotated to buy a couple of them to decorate also my mother's house, since I already have this type of lanterns for mine and I think she will be happy that I give them to decorate her house.
A su vez, en la segunda estantería me encontré con diversos adornos consistentes en agrupaciones de piñas, agrupaciones de piñas con muérdago artificial y en otros solo con muérdago artificial.
In turn, on the second shelf I came across various ornaments consisting of groupings of pinecones, groupings of pinecones with artificial mistletoe and in others only with artificial mistletoe.
Os estaríais preguntando ¿por qué muérdago artificial? Tengo que deciros que en mi región es muy complicado conseguir adornos naturales e incluso un abeto natural es muy complicado y es muy común por no talar árboles similares como pinos, comprar un árbol artificial como los que os muestro a continuación.
You might be wondering why artificial mistletoe? I have to tell you that in my region it is very complicated to get natural ornaments and even a natural fir tree is very complicated and it is very common not to cut down similar trees like pines, to buy an artificial tree like the ones I show you below.
En otra parte del mercadillo me encontré con parte de los productos navideños que estaba buscando. En concreto, me encontré con una gran gama de espumillones navideños de múltiples colores. Finalmente, me compre espumillones de color dorado.
In another part of the flea market I found some of the Christmas products I was looking for. In particular, I found a wide range of Christmas tinsel in multiple colors. Finally, I bought some gold-colored tinsel.
Sin embargo, para el tema de las bolas de navidad este mercadillo solo tenía bolas de navidad de dos colores y ambas de color muy semejante. Yo tenía en mente comprar bolas rojas, similares a las que suelo emplear todos los años, y me extrañó mucho que solo hubiese de color violeta y púrpura. Por tanto, me tocará buscar en otra tienda durante el fin de semana.
However, for the theme of Christmas baubles this market only had Christmas baubles in two colors and both very similar in color. I had in mind to buy red balls, similar to the ones I use every year, and I was very surprised that there were only violet and purple. So, I will have to look in another store during the weekend.
Como compensación a no encontrar las bolas de navidad deseada, una sorpresa fue encontrar que en el mercadillo podía adquirir tres tipos de plantas navideñas muy típicas en España. Por un lado, las flores de pascua, que es una planta que adquiere un intenso color rojo según pasan las semanas. Por otro lado, me encontré con un dos variedades de poinsettias de distinto color.
As compensation for not finding the desired Christmas balls, a surprise was to find that at the flea market I could buy three types of Christmas plants very typical in Spain. On the one hand, poinsettias, which is a plant that acquires an intense red color as the weeks go by. On the other hand, I found two varieties of poinsettias of different colors.
Por último, una sección final del mercadillo estaba enmarcada a los belenes, que es un tipo de adorno muy común en los países con raíces cristianas en las que se suele representar el portal de belén donde nacido el niño Jesús. Las figuras imprescindibles de un belén son siempre el propio niño Jesús, la Virgen María, San Jose, la mula y el buey.
Finally, a final section of the market was framed to the nativity scenes, which is a type of decoration very common in countries with Christian roots in which it is usually represented the crib where the baby Jesus was born. The essential figures of a nativity scene are always the baby Jesus himself, the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, the mule and the ox.
Aparte de estas figuras, aquellos que tienen mucho más espacio pueden hacer un belén mucho más amplio, incorporando a los tres reyes magos, a pastores, lavanderas, etc.
Apart from these figures, those who have much more space can make a much larger crib, incorporating the three kings, shepherds, shepherdesses, washerwomen, etc.
Una vez visto los distintos adornos que en esta tienda tienen. Me falta encontrar una tienda con bolas de navidad rojas y escoger que otros adornos navideños compro este fin de semana con la familia a parte del espumillon que finalmente compre al salir de esta tienda.

Once I have seen the different ornaments that this store has. I still have to find a store with red Christmas balls and choose what other Christmas decorations I will buy this weekend with the family besides the tinsel that I finally bought when I left this store.
