We've all had that moment of discovery, that epiphany, that we could actually earn some passive income writing and posting about things we want to. It's kind of exhilarating receiving your first payout, like being baptized in a river of steem and maybe you even swallow a little bit of it. All of a sudden you're enlightened with your 30 followers and $20 worth of crypto-wealth. The sky is the limit it seems, remembering the humble beginnings of bitcoin, ripple, ethereum, and litecoins.
Then you try to tell your friends about it.
Suddenly you realize that think you're trying to get them to sell knife sets door to door, or convert them the Church of Laterday Saints.
"So they give you money?"
"Yeah."
"Like real money?"
"Well, yeah but you have convert it to dollars."
"So where's that money come from?"
"Other people."
"So they give you money."
"No... It's just there."
"From where?"
"Investors."
"So what do you have to give them?"
"Content."
"Sounds fishy (but don't forget about me if you make a bunch of money)."
*I've never understood that. Why do people blatantly doubt ideas but expect a payout "if it works"?
"You had zero faith in me from the start... so here's a share of the reward for my actions."
Maybe we should dress up like Morpheus before telling them?
