City dwelling strelitzia. Followers of this blog will remember this was the emblem for my first army unit - 6 SA Infantry. Was not my choice but it sure shaped me as a person and survivor. My platoon photo hangs in my study to remind me of the lessons.

Walked up to Queen Victoria Building (QVB) to do my shopping. Last visit to the hobby shop I saw model rail wagons. Manildra runs trains to the starch plant not far from where our retirement house. Bought one of each - part of a journey to start my rail layout sooner rather than later. Keen to start soon.
Was hoping to meet up with a friend to talk investing stuff. Nothing planned - her shop was closed. Headed home away from the people and under cover around the sides of QVB
Got the steps done.
Had a friend coming over for dinner at short notice - a quick chicken bbq. Turned into a late night
