Woke to a grey sky day with sun forecast later on. My wife headed out for a sewing session early. Was aiming for a quiet day - local walk vs trip to walk flat in the city. Knee is improving

alt

Did the local walk choice - train two stations up the line to walk Sheldon Forest in Turramurra. Pea flower on the way in

alt

A splash of white along the fence

alt

Cloud broken up - treetop photo of one of the remant blue gum forests left. I like walking here - nit fsr below the top of the hill and no traffic noise - only birds

alt

Hypericum with spotted bug

alt

Pink opener

alt

Fingers orchid - checked every one - all look like standard white fingers. Not this one - signs of carmine bands - a hybrid catenata

alt

Tinges of pink on this caladenia catenata

alt

No bug this shot

alt

Side on of pure white form with yellow tip and green back. Not even the customary pink spot

alt

Pink spot and pink colour on show

alt

A few acianthus leaves below - the heart shaped leaf - and a closing white flower above

alt

Pea flower

alt

Crinkled up caladenia flower

alt

More touches of pink further down the track - no pink spot

alt

Mission for the day accomplished - black bootlace orchid in flower. This flower high up a plant that has climbed over 3 metres above ground

alt

Easier photo work for the plant coming up from the ground - erythorchis casuthoides - fire time opener for the season

alt

A bit more front on

Chose to walk back the way I came to avoid hill work. Knee is still sore.

Managed another 10k steps day - some quiet day

Made leftover dinner - chicken stroganoff

Stayed up late for market open. Short on SPX opened safe - no need to get up during the night
