Lovely sunny day. Perfect day to go to the beach with my granddaughters. Went for a walk down their way in Jervis Bay NP before we met up

alt

Knew from the last walk a few weeks back to start looking on the right - nodding greenhoods were there last time not far from the road

alt

Matching rosette

alt

Found a few more colonies further along - last time just one - three this time

alt

Pterostylis nutans. An interesting area as it does not feel like a rainforest segment.

alt

Slender rice flower

alt

New find on this track and this far south - Eastern Blues orchid - caladenia caerulea

alt

Fourth spot for nodding greenhoods = rainforest enough

alt

White marianth with those distinctive spikes like antennae

alt

Orchid forming on track edge

alt

Shape of the bud suggests donkey orchid but it could be a sun orchid

alt

Mimosa flowers and bud

alt

Coral heath flower

alt

A few hakea flowers emerging

alt

Snake orchid - cymbidium suave

alt

Slender rice flower

alt

Violet coloured pea flower

alt

Jervis Bay NP signage

alt

Lovely photo of my granddaughter against the background of Jervis Bay with her mum and dad

alt

Seagull reflection

Was just fab building sandcastles with Scarlett and walking for icecream. A good chance for mum and dad to spend time with Violette while Scarlett and I played on the beach. Special times - really tough not being able to see them more often

Had dinner with friends - good to have a day off cooking as much as I like cooking.

Back to Sydney tomorrow
