3 orchid day on Lovers Jump Creek : My Actifit Report Card: January 9 2022
Another grey and rainy day. Spent a slice of the day writing up the weekly investing blog. Was a quiet week. Did get out to walk the local track hoping to find midge orchids seen last year
Can always bank on finding bonnet orchids in January - each photo is a new opener
Opener for next walk. This is how I plan my walks - what is coming next?
Trying hard to get column in the photos
It is tough to get column detail as they are quite recessed. Really needs a focus stacking camera
Variegated hyacinth orchid now open
Dipodium variegatum
Ever wondered what an orchid tuber looks like. This is dipodium punctatum dug up by wallabies. I was tempted to take one with buds home. Chose to relocate it further down the track where the variegated hyacinth grows
These flowers just emerging on the edge of one of the feeder creeks
Common ant orchid seen last week
New bud forming though this leaf looks different - more ruffled
A few more bonnet orchids survived the track work
In the ferns
Close up
Hakea flowering
Bonnet orchid with moulting gum for background
Cryptostylis erecta
Never did find any midge orchids. Grass has grown a bit much and it is still early
Rain held off is a win. Walked the dog after my walk. Too wet in the bush to walk him there
Tidied up mess made by possums in the vege garden it ate my potatoes
My wife cooked dinner
Trade action: Bought ICP and NEO altcoins
