Another nice day. Plan to get out a little earlier to ride and check on a special orchid location. Flowering time is on us
First stop down the hill to photograph an orchid I spied last time on the way up. This dipodium variegatum flower growing on the verge between crash barrier and road. There was another plant on the other side of the barrier
Over the top of the barrier was a bunch of leaves and one flower - cryptostylis erecta. Flower and color and not quite right - maybe because a twig and fallen over the stem and maybe constrained fluid flows.
Ride up the other side - stop at an area of known colony of cryptostylis subulata. One new plant flowering = photo time
Side on of large tongue orchid - 2 orchids in flower so far. Kept on up the hill and found another dipodium variegatum. A new location.
Mission for the day was to check progress in a rare plant segment. I spy two people - a man on a chair and a lady in the bush
"You are looking for what I am looking for?". Depends. I knew straight away that this was the guru lady on the orchid I am seeking. She says I was late as first flower was on December 21 = really early. We chatted but she was not letting on location. My plan was twofold - check on a corunastylis rupii seen last week - was one and the other was to check on the rare orchid. So I went and found it
Better photo than last time. I checked with Wendy the ID
I showed her the photo. She was a little more open and pointed me to the cluster location of the rare orchid - I found the plant she had not seen

Wendy did point me to a spot of corunastylis rupii. I had seen these here in this spot before but nice to see 4 plants. Last time there was only one.
Wow - a 5 orchid visit. 2 down the hill. 3 up the hill. 3 up top AND I met a guru - thanks Wendy Grimm
And 24 km bike ride with 355 meters climbed
We went down to Bobbjn Head for a picnic. No photos but this gecko was on my chair on the deck - chair went in the boot and Lorraine shrieked when she went to get the chair out of the boot. It just got relocated to National Park - hope it finds a mate
Dinner: Bbq after a nice cheese plate in the park
Trade action: Assigned on Boeing naked put. This is hugely negative. Going to average down. Sell some puts and wait
