"Ordinary" malaria - I'd hate to see what extraordinary cases look like.
Your prolonged (and NOT MILD illness) - your brother carrying the load - then bringing the cure:

Abel invited a pastor to pray. For seven days, he came. By the third, the blood stopped. By the seventh, I was healed. I could walk again, laugh again. I was free.

LOVE IT - and now I'm hoping this is a true story (it sounds true), though I wouldn't wish the bronchiectasis on anyone.
