Indeed, I "found something of value" here!
Some people can't change, won't change, won't admit they're in the wrong.
This is popular advice these days from therapists - not interacting anymore - and that's well and good.

We're still family, but I will not interact with them now, won't expose myself to that toxicity. My cousin told me "just because someone refuses to see light, we don't gotta remain in darkness in solidarity", and I loved it.

If someone however does apologize and IS TRYING TO CHANGE, to overcome the negativity that dogged us from infancy, yet sometimes we lapse back into the old familiar groove of grousing: could others please not just cut them out like a tumor from their lives?
