Inner Killer unleashed by Japanese beetle - love it!
And this - heartbreaking:
I gave your bed away
to erase one memory
but it didn’t work
Sometimes I think FORGETTING is good, and the fewer memories we preserve, the better.
Then I think of the people cast in stone in post-volcanic Pompeii, and all the mementos of theirs that surived centuries in the ash. Are we not glad to have these glimpses into their long-ago lives?
Will anyone look back at the detritus mementos of our lives and be touched, moved, enlightened?
