For years it has become one of my favourite places, I would usually come here to work, spend hours with my laptop and enjoy a good coffee. This is Candileja Bar & Bakery, they have a wide menu ranging from breakfast, lunch, burgers, salads, pizza, desserts and good coffees.
Currently there are two locations in the city, I usually go to the one in the Paraiso neighbourhood.
There are enough parking spaces for the size of the place, the restaurant is on the ground floor and upstairs they provide services for events and corporate parties.
I really like the mocaccino, maybe those blends of coffee and chocolate give a happy feeling with every sip. The price here is $3 for that particular coffee.
The interior is spacious and very comfortable, I usually take the table at the back as it has a wall decorated with a small library nearby and you can pick up any book that interests you and read it while you wait for your meal or have a coffee.
There is no place where you don't see a cup or something related to a cup of coffee. Whether on shelves, in paintings or in writing, they seem to be sending a message to the customer asking us not to leave without trying their coffees.
The dessert area is next to the drinks bar, usually, they display lemon pie, chocolate cake, red velvet, snickers, carrot cake and more. You can buy 1/4 kilogram portions or full cakes.
The decoration of the place makes it really cosy, all the walls are covered with shelves, paintings and details that make it have a very original style.
Here there is a more private area with only 3 tables, personally I don't like to sit there because there are no power sockets nearby, maybe they could improve that, it is always necessary.
They have a mural with pictures, some with figures and others with humorous writings or phrases native to the region. Everyone is distracted by reading and making jokes with each picture.
I really enjoy coming here, whether it's to have a bite to eat, a cup of tea or to order a mocaccino as usual. The comfort, the service and the tranquility of this place is definitely worth it.
Thanks for reading me! I hope you enjoyed it.
