This week's share your battle challenge involves using a card from the death splinter.

A newcomer who is spooky, can you tell what it really is? I cannot

Let's jump right into it! Not literally though

Theme: Phantasm

The Phantasm is a common card from the Reward edition.

It can fly and has a pretty good speed, which means it is great for evading attacks

It starts with an attack of 2, which is normal considering the mana cost of 6

It can be yours for 0.01 $.

I believe its price is underrated but it is normal for a reward card.

Since it was released during the untamed series, you'll need more cards to level up

Where to use

The Phantasm should be used on the following rulesets:

  • Earthquake
  • Equalizer

With Earthquake the Phantasm won't lose hitpoints after each round.

With Equalizer the phantasm becomes a stronger tank, with higher hitpoints, high speed and the flying ability it will be more difficult to take him down

The Battle

This Battle involves the equalizer and Earthquake ruleset

In this Battle 2 Phantasms fought against each other

Our lineups were pretty similar with 3 cards being the same and 1 card having the same stats before the changes. The other two cards made the difference

I focused on enhancing my Phantasm by increasing his speed and decreasing the speed of my rival

My Lineup

  1. Phantasm: The.. thing of the week. Fast and able to fly. Great for Eathquake

  2. Dark Enchantress: Great stats, able to fly and less mana required than the phantom soldier

  3. Spirit Miner: Increases the speed of my cards at level two.

  4. Boogeyman: Decreases my rival's speed

  5. Soulstorm: One of the best cards for the death splinter. High attack and able to fly. Its main weakness vanishes under the Equalizer ruleset

  6. Octopider: Demoralize comes in handy for a battle like this one

In this battle Speed was the defining factor. I ended up losing only one card, namely the Octopider, which was being hit by the Sand Worm.

My Phantasm survived the battle with its enhanced speed and its ability to fly.

The faster your card is the more likely it is to evade attacks. Flying also increases the likelihood of evading attacks.

For this setup the Phantasm is one of the best cards available.

See you in the Battlefield!
