The team behind Splinterlands has published a new share your battle challenge this time the challenge involves using an undead creature from the death splinter.
Without further ado let's jump into it
The Undead Minotaur is a common reward card from the Beta series. It only costs 0.01$
It is the cheapest reward card available. Unfortunately there are reasons that justify this price.
Even though it comes with double strike the cost of 6 mana is a bit prohibitive.
Compared with the haunted spirit the hitpoints are lower, it cannot heal and the mana costs are higher. So not the best option for the first position.
At lower levels it can only deal 1 damage, thus one card with the shield could render it useless. This problem disappears at level 4 though.
The Hobgoblin is neutral, has the same ability, costs 5 mana and can deal the same damage.
The usage of the Undead Minotaur is thus restricted to a few rulesets (mostly Super Sneak or Melee Mayhem with a high mana cap)
Nonetheless when used correctly the undead Minotaur can be a deciding force on a battle.
The Battle took place in a tournament
Super Sneak with a high mana cap is a perfect scenario for the Undead Minotaur. I decided to use a balanced force in order to avoid getting wiped out with magic
The result was amazing. In the first round my rival's backline was wiped out and I barely took damage. Also the Minotaur got the finishing blow :)
