-420-450 grams all-purpose wheat flour.
-40 grams sugar.
-2 teaspoons salt.
-6 grams active dry yeast.
-300 ml warm milk or plant-based milk.
-2 tablespoons coconut oil or butter.
-140 grams candied fruit.
-60 grams raisins soaked in a little rum or brandy (optional).
-1 tablespoon orange zest.
-20 grams butter at room temperature.
-1 beaten egg for brushing.
In a bowl, add 420 grams of wheat flour, the sugar, the yeast, two teaspoons of salt, and mix.
En un recipiente echamos 420 gramos de harina de trigo, a esta le agregamos el az煤car, la levadura, dos cucharaditas de sal y mezclamos.
Now we add the wet ingredients: milk, oil, and vanilla.
Mix the ingredients together well; you can do this with a pastry spatula. If the dough is too sticky, add a little flour.
Next, we'll work the dough on the counter. We'll grease the area where we're going to place the dough and also grease our hands. We'll knead using mainly the palms of our hands until we have a smooth dough.
We put the dough in a container, cover it and let it double or triple in size, this will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
After 1 hour and 15 minutes my dough was ready, it had practically tripled in size 馃槣, at this point we prepare our filling, we mix the raisins with the candied fruits, the orange zest and mix very well, set aside.
Now we turn on the oven to 180 degrees.
Then we deflate the dough a little, place it on the counter, sprinkle flour to prevent it from sticking, and turn the dough a few times to deflate it even more.
We start rolling out the dough with a rolling pin, making sure it looks like a rectangle, and we put the softened butter on it, using a brush, a spatula or a spoon, whatever you have on hand.
We add the filling, spreading it over almost the entire dough, leaving a space so that when closing it we can do so easily.
We begin to roll very gently, making sure that our roll is tightly sealed.
Now we're going to make the cuts. I used my three fingers for the size of these rolls; make them whatever size you prefer. Then we cut them and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. If you don't have this paper, grease and flour your tray very well.
We cover our rolls and let them rest for another hour. After that time, our rolls will have grown a lot. Brush them with beaten egg or milk.
If you like, place a little more candied fruit on top and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown.
Wait for them to cool down a bit and they're ready to enjoy! 馃槏馃い The bad thing about these rolls is that if I eat one I can't stop, they're so delicious! 馃槀
Yields: 11 large rolls 馃憣
I hope you liked the recipe, and that you can make and enjoy it very soon 馃槉
