This autumn in Croatia was very rich in mushrooms, fruits & vegetables. Here are just some of the photos of what I was picking...
1st time in my life I was picking olives on major scale, working for the owner of the olive yard & an olive grower. It was not an easy job but the outdoor ambient & the company were nice.
Chili plants in pots on my balcony are now already in the 3rd or 4th year & giving fruits 2 times per year.
Wild leak (Allium ampeloprasum) is wildly growing all along Mediterranean & near some rivers in maritime regions. It's interesting that you cannot find it in the North but it also doesn't grow in summer, when it's too hot. It chooses autumn to spring period. I'm already picking it for the last 4-5 years.
Physalis alkekengi or in Croatian - šumska mjehurica is also a domestic, naturally growing plant in the Mediterranean. It spontaneously invaded my garden & I let it grow cause it's edible & medicinal. It is a far relative of the much more famous Peruvian physalis.
I hope you like this post.
If you have any questions about the displayed plants, I'll gladly answer!
