1st Shots w/ Nikon Z6

Recently I have bought a new camera - Nikon Z6 - with mirrorless technology & I must say I like it a lot! It is an upgrade in every sense! It is lightweight, smaller sized than my previous Nikon D800. Has much higher ISO sensitivity for low light situations. It is very quiet & it can be also fully silenced with absolutely no sound. Also it can shoot 4k video.

There are also some changes which I needed to upgrade to: It has no SD or CF card slots so I needed to buy XQD format of CF express card & a special card reader which all cost me more money. I also bought FTZ adapter so that I can mount my F series lenses that I used with D800. I didn't try all my lenses yet, only 2 & the wide angle Tokina I have the AF but on the old Nikkor 35-70 mm I only have MF option. It is not a big problem cause Z6 has this amazing new focusing indicator called "peaking highlights" where the focused point become highlighted with the color you choose in the settings.

Ogulin Castle

The following photos aren't the 1st one I shot but I decided to start this post with those.

Anyway, Ogulin is an ancient town in middle continental Croatia which a has long history as a human settlement aging to Roman times but fully sure it is much older! It was also a bordering town between Turkish & Austrian empires "protecting" the Europe from Islam. The castle was in the possession of the famous Croatian noblemen family Frankopan, vassal of the royal ruling Habsburg family.

At some point, after loyal serving, the head of Frankopan family together with the other Croatian noblemen family Zrinski, were accused for plotting & high treason by the Habsburgs & were brutally executed without a trial in Wein, their properties seized & shared to the other feudal lords of the time.

My Mother (Again)

This is one of the 1st shots I made with the combination of MF & peaking highlights mode & also in difficult light conditions with a wide contrast range of light & shadows.

My mother is one of the most important people in my life even though sometimes she can be very annoying but still, I must admit publicly & with out any exaggeration, me & my sister, we were always a lucky kids to have such a mother & a father too! We were fully raised in love - what is the most important - & they both made a great sacrifice for us!

Street Shot - Beautiful Pregnant Lady

While my mom & me were sitting in a bar & talking in noticed this gorgeous pregnant woman & really wanted to take a shot. So, I did. But I have a doubt about my behavior as a photographer - please read the text below the photo.

I need your help here! I have a dilema...

I keep noticing many beautiful women in the streets & often I have my camera with me & a wish to make photography of these random beautiful girls.

One side of me wants to catch them without them knowing it cause I like to have these fully natural moments but this is hardly achieved & also I'm doubting if it's ethical?!

Other side of me is conscious that I could go straight to these girls & ask them if I could take few shots of them right there in the street & most probably I would achieve greater results...
