I am writing this article because I have reason to believe that certain people desire friendship but they do not understand how to become 'friends' with people.
So lesson #1 is that 'friends' are attracted to someones personality, so most likely you are not going to be one of thoes people that treats people like dirt and still has friends. In fact if you are someone that treats people like dirt and still has friends...you proably do not want people like that to be your 'friend'.
Believe me I am not making fun of people when I say this but I understand people with autisim see things diffrently. My step-nephew has aspeburgers syndrom (a form of autisim) and I think the guy means well he just does not understand the way that most humans opperate. When the boy was younger he used to run up and hug me, but then I discovered that he would almost knock me down when he was getting bigger. So I told him to slow down when he was about 10 foot in front of me and we both would walk into the hug.
So a great piece of advice that I will give to both people with autisim or people that are influencial in the lives of people with autisim is: read the rule book on human behavior...and that is read the book of Proverbs.
