Greetings my dear people of the #weekendexperiences community. I feel delighted to share my article with everyone here today.
Before I begin my writing proper, I would love to ask this question, do you have anyone who no matter what, you would never forget the person or events carried out by the person? Who would that be?
Mine is my uncle. He is a personality I am always grateful to have ever come across in my life. Though he is not married, he loves me like his son. He has made my upcoming weekend an anticipated one.
My uncle has promised to train me for bike riding this weekend. He hasn't been chanced during the work days since he got a new job. This weekend is going to be a memorable one as I will begin my bike lessons. My uncle loves driving bike so much. I was having a short conversation with him one morning before he left for work and I prepared for school. I asked him, "Uncle Mike, why don't you seek employment in other companies, why the Delivery Company"? Then he answered, "I love what I do, I don't care the pay as long as the pay can keep me alive".
But due to some reasons best known to my uncle, he decided to stop the delivery work. He got a new job and was awarded a car, a brand-new Mercedes Benz. In some way, I'm indirectly a bike owner, lol. The bike he used for delivery was his own, he said he didn't like the company's customized bike. I can't wait for the weekend to arrive, I wish I could turn the clock and fasten time, hehe. I know this weekend experience is going to be one of my best.
In my uncle's former job, he didn't have days like weekends. Whenever a client needed his order, my uncle or his coworkers were always called to duty. I guess this was one of the reasons he decided to quit the job. He didn't have enough time for himself and for me, his beloved nephew. Before my uncle got a job in the delivery company, he was a normal bike rider, transporting individuals to different destinations. I remember how he used to wash his bike every morning. He called the bike, "Piloter '', meaning the bike that pilots him.
Before my uncle got his new job, in attempt make me happy during the weekends he often borrowed a Power Bike from his long-time friend to give me a ride around town. This ride is usually a very swift and long one. Though he was always free all the days of the week when he hadn't gotten a job, he chose weekends for those great bike drives. He said roads are often less busy on weekends and he didn't want me to get distracted from school during the school days of the week.
I have always been a passenger to my uncle whenever he is driving, but it's high time I began my journey of becoming a driver, and that journey starts this weekend. If I learned to drive by this weekend and the next, it would be a record in my family that I would keep to tell my children. It's a record because I'm going to learn bike driving at twenty. My uncle would have broken this record in my family, but he had no opportunity to see a bike owner at that stage of his life who he would had borrowed from to learn, so he learned to drive at age twenty-three when he left for the city.
The enthusiasm in me is greater than the room I'm staying inside. I feel like a day is a year(a day to the weekend). I can't wait to mount my ever-dreamed bike this weekend and it's going to be worth sharing with everyone.
Thanks for reading my blog and I hope you've enjoyed it.
