Thorns wand Magic Reflect can help deal damage back to your opponent
Battle Example
This example put my opponent and I on very even footing. The level was Novice and it was a Chaos Legion only Brawl fray so the summoner choice were limited.
The sole choice of the Water element left plenty of good MAgic and Melee options, but with the mana at 36 I opted to go melee heavy as I own plenty of melee options that can attack, with decent damage, from the back row.

WHY DID THEY CHOOSE IT?
One of my favorite tanks. High armor and health. The high armor will come in even more handy with Hellondale's Resurrect.
The two magic damage is nice, but it is Resurrect that I am looking for.
Love the three melee Opportunity damage.
Opportunity and Bloodlust!
I'm a bigger fan of Bandit at higher levels, but even at level one the armor, Sneak and Flying are nice.
Another great reward card with Sneak and armor.
Results
Rounds 1 — With Divine Shield the first round is mostly my opponent and I taking out the initial shield.
Round 2 - A lot of armor is being dwindels down and I am able to take out Hardy Stonefish. My opponent's Merdaali with Tank Heal is concerning me.
Round 3 - Resurrect kicks in, and I'm lucky that I take out my opponent's last magic attacker so Diemonshark's resurrected armor will hold up for quite a few shots. I always forget that Divine Shield is rest on Resurrect as well! The best news is I'm able to take out Merdaali at the end of the round.
Round 4 - Diemonshark falls, but so does my opponent's tank.
Round 5 - My opponent makes it to round six, but it is clear it won't last long. This battle is effectively over!
Resurrect and Diemonshark's armor were the battle MVP!
How did the rest of the Brawl go?
🤗 🤗 6—3. Back on the winning side of things! 🤗 🤗
I moved down from fray 12 to the Chaos Novice fray and the wins were flowing! I'm not sure if the move will be permanent, but it was nice to see some wins after the last two frays getting beat up.
Looking at this Brawl we were going up against much lower ranked guilds. We scored less overall points than the last two Brawls and still finished higher than we have in quite some time 🤷♂
