Welcome back to another π―Witchy Blogπ―where I share the spells & crafts I have been working on for the last while.
If you have been following along you will know that I love flowers and use them in all kinds of projects. But ... why?
What powers do these blossoms hold?
Over the past spring and summer I have carefully dried the flowers grown in my little garden. Sometimes petals, sometimes full blossoms were dried then stored in jars of all sizes.
Sunflowers to me symbolize the strength of the sun. They bloom around the time of the summer solstice (which, here in the southern hemisphere is December 21st/22nd).
Zinnias, in the variety of vibrant colors, stand for the fun aspects of friendship.
Certain flowers, like the roses, I keep in separate jars. Others are mixes of the season. The largest jar are the first flowers of spring with whitr mums being the main flower.
I use these flowers alone or in combination to beautify my altar space and as the protaganist in spells of all kinds. Jar spells, herb sachets, and even picture spells that are meant to be seen online. They all include some floral magick alongside crystals and words.
I brought all my flower-filled jars out yesterday to catch some afternoon sun. It was a nice reminder of all that I have, and all the spellwork I have done π
