I finally got the two danbos I ordered from Japan about a month ago and im super excited to add them to the collection. As it stands there are only a handful that I dont have at this point and these two helped close up that gap a bit.
The first one you can see is the Daimaru danbo which came out in 2014 and was only available in stores in Japan. This makes it very hard for someone like me to get my hands on one so I ended up buying it from Mandarake online , which is a collectible store in Japan.
In fact both of these I ended up getting from Mandarake because they usually are low priced and even though their products are used, they are in very good condition. I have never been disappointed from Mandarake so I usually browse them first.
The second Danbo I got is the T-Card danbo which came out pretty recently from what I can find, but at the same time I cant find much about it. I know I dont have it in my collection so I saw a single one for sale and scooped it up as quickly as possible. Its blue and yellow coloring makes it look like its from Ikea but it stands out among the other ones I have in my collection.
Both these Danbos are a really cool addition to my collection and for the moment, im not actively looking for any of the older ones that I missed out on. Going forward I will probably only buy the new releases which I will wait until a few of them end up for sale so I only have to pay shipping once. I would love to hear if any of you guys have a collection and to share a picture below!
