@mstafford and I took our as-yet-unfinished diy camer van out for a rip this weekend. We found some pretty amazing super secret camping spots down by the river and a gorgeous network of trails to hike. We went for about a 10k jaunt and then made some yummy soup and crashed in the van for the first time. Had an amazing sleep and were able to make a game plan and list of all the things we have yet to do to get the van looking and functioning perfectly. Pretty happy with how it performed as-is, though, so needless to say, we're really looking forward to next weekend and already planning the next advanture!
Here's a shot that I took as we were coming back to camp after the big hike. This little shack was totally in the middle of nowhere. There was clearly a lot of bears and cougars living around here so I'm not sure why anyone would want to try hanging out in a little shack in the woods. Perhaps they were using it to hide from & shoot (camera or gun?) critters. Who knows. In any case, I thought it made a cool photo.
