Today I will tell you about the hike that my friends and I did from Kozya Stena hut to Echo hut.
We are located in the Central Balkan National Park - an exceptionally beautiful place in Bulgaria.
After the Kozya Stena hut comes a flat section, which then divides into two trails - one is steep and rocky and the other has varied terrain, and that's exactly what we set off on.
Here the two paths converge.
We saw anthills and lots of oregano.
The views along the way were uniquely beautiful.
There were an abundance of raspberry bushes and one area completely covered in tall fern.
At one place we saw the herb tansy.
After a short climb there was a fork from which we saw that we were very close to the hut.
The Echo hut is located at 1675 meters above sea level in the Zhelezni Vrata area.
There is a dining room and common sleeping quarters.
I'm glad we arrived before sunset and had the opportunity to enjoy the unique view of the setting sun.
In the morning, the views in front of the hut were uniquely beautiful.
We were about to return on the return route, but before that we wanted to visit the Holy Trinity Chapel, which is located near the hut.
It was built by the former hut keeper of the Echo hut, Nikolay Kiranov, and a group of enthusiasts from Ruse. The architect of the chapel is Boyan Krastev from Lovech. The construction took 3 years.

On the way back we saw many horses.
We passed a small cave at the foot of Kozya stena.
We continued to find beautiful plants and enjoy majestic views.
We came back recharged and very happy.
Thank you for stopping by!
