On my last day in Los Alamo I explore the caves and canyon views of the Jim Billen Trail.
This trail leads to an overlook with a view of the canyon running through the middle of town.
A few years ago a bench was installed in dedication to a man named Jim Billon who played a large part in developing and maintaining this trail.
The overlook sits on an outcripping cliff which surrounds you on three sides.
The trail follows the contour of the mesa side wrapping around rock walls full of holes.
I came across multiple caves big enough for humans to live in.
