Happiness is a state of mind that indicates contentment, relaxation, and positive energy. When one is happy, it shows in the outward behaviour and mood. People can be happy for different reasons, such as what happened to them, the people around them, or their achievements. If happiness is to be purchased, the wealthy in society would amass such a quantity for themselves and their families, which would drain other citizens.
However, staying happy means different things to people. Some feel that being happy is a natural phenomenon, others believe it is for the rich, the bourgeoisie, the timbers and calibers in society. Unfortunately, life does not work that way. It is a fact that some of these bigwigs in society have challenges that tamper with their happiness and lead them to an unhappy state of mind.

For me, happiness is a thing of the mind; however, a lot of people face challenges that lead them to depression, restlessness, and unhealthy situations. For such ones, if only happiness could be bought off a supermarket shelf. Some VIPs pay huge sums of money to attend comedy and music shows, as well as various outdoor activities, to keep them happy. Some in the process become drunk, which is also a risky way of living. This, for me, is buying happiness. Such happiness does not last; rather, short-lived.

There are times in life when one might feel lost, especially in some challenging situations that seem impossible for one to be happy again. Like when my mates were happily securing admission into universities, and mine was delayed, like it won’t happen again. At that point, my resort was to leave that particular environment to save my mental health. I engaged myself with deep learning and focused on other strategies to get out of the situation. I was glad I came out of the situation wiser and better.
Therefore, I wouldn’t want to buy happiness. Instead, I would like to be happy by living a life of gratitude, focusing on eating and living healthily. Building great relationships both in Hive and around me. Focus on setting and achieving set goals and living life one day at a time.
